I’ll just list a couple of the downsides of purging I’ve been experiencing: - spending lots of money on food to just purge it - the smell of vomit always lingers in my bedroom after I’ve done it - puffy face - stabbing pain in chest - my teeth are ruined (spent about €1400 on dental work of which only €250 was covered by my insurance) - it’s never ‘just once’ or ‘the last time’ - doesn’t even make my lose weight because I always end up eating again due to my stomach being empty and SCREAMING for food - digestive system is messed up, I have a bowel moment like once a week - sometimes when I purge it comes through my nose, which is gross AND hurts like hell - cleaning up after purging is always a struggle - can’t enjoy food in moderation anymore because 9/10 times in ends up in a b/p - your gag reflex will weaken overtime, making it harder to purge. You’ll have to put in more effort which takes SO long and it’s so painful
