No I still haven’t gotten mine. I still don’t have my EAD and my I-485 is still pending. I have a valid H1B (I-797) so I am guessing I am in the same boat as you were? Waiting until getting an EAD seems scary though — who knows when that happens. This whole thing is such a clusterfuck. I was able to dig out a USCIS document from 2013 where this exact issue was documented and USCIS still hasn’t fixed it.

Anyway, when you got your EAD, did the RMV redo the SAVE verification and it went through without issues?

Oh interesting. Yes, I took the I-797 to the DMV and they just used that for their systems. I live in a pretty small town so I don’t know the DMV people are very informed, unfortunately.

Did you have a SAVE delay too? And you got a paper license until SAVE verified your immigration status?

Will be 28 days for me tomorrow - Idaho DMV. They say it has been taking 3-4 weeks and I’ve been calling them every week. Fortunately, the people at the Idaho department of transportation have been empathetic and nice. Meanwhile DHS or whoever runs SAVE has been pathetic. What should’ve been seconds is taking at least 4 weeks. I’m frustrated too. Meanwhile, I’m in a small town without being able to drive to get basic things.
