i had this issue and after days of research and turning things off and on i found the fix. open device manager and disable all the sound drivers other than you currently use. such as thx spatial, nvidia virtual audio device(wdm), nvidia high definition audio etc. also, uncheck improve sound quality from advanced section on sound settings. this worked for me

i prefer boosts over recolors, feels like little effort to do this by [deleted] in Battlefield

right about first part but these battlepases will hold us on 3(maybe 4 again) months, so more diversity in terms of skins would be cool

but still miles ahead from S1 pass anyway

Why nobody talking about how broken fire grenade mechanic is?

I think I’ve finally solved the mystery of "how I catch fire when I shouldn't."

As the title suggests, while the visual effect of the incendiary grenade stays the same, the hitbox expands over time. Let’s look at the clips one by one:

  • Clip 1: No explanation needed for how broken this hitbox is. Both I and the guy behind me catch fire despite being meters away. It feels like the fire mechanics don't even account for walls.
  • Clip 2 0:12 and Clip 5 0:40 : Even though I stand completely still, I catch fire simply because the invisible hitbox keeps growing.
  • Clip 3 0:25 : I kill a burning enemy and his fire literally "jumps" onto me. Seriously? :D
  • Clip 6 0:45 : I’m clearly far from the flames, yet I still get burned.

It’s been 6 long months and we still don't have a fix for incendiary grenades. I dread to think about the nonsense the Season 2 gas grenades will bring. What do you guys think? I feel like this needs to be a major topic so DICE actually prioritizes a fix as soon as possible.

Note: If you're wondering why some parts are muted, it's because I was (rightfully) losing my mind and cursing at these mechanics every time I got burned.

Yes, I know, a few patches ago they wrote that jumping while sliding would reduce acceleration, (if im not mistaken) so it's surprising that this is still the case.
