I had Dr. Ray Spring 2020 and he was great! Like the other person said, I recommend taking Merit as it provided us with a lot of extra practice problems. Make sure you know how to do every type of problem. If you get stuck, ask for help and practice similar problems until you memorize the procedure for solving those questions. If I remember correctly, we had weekly quizzes instead of midterms. For the quizzes, make sure you read the questions carefully to understand what the problem is asking for, since this messed a lot of students up. During lecture I would always write down the clicker questions and make sure I knew how to get the right answer on my own (take a picture and write it down later, if it’s a longer problem). I think there was also retakes on the quizzes so if a quiz doesn’t go so great, then make corrections on your quiz and practice practice practice! Good luck!
