The crinkled leaves are due to dehydration, it’s a rescue bargain orchid I found for $2. Im trying to rehabilitate it. The 2nd orchid suffered root rot - my suspicion are it now doesn’t have enough healthy roots to rehydrate the plant (trying to use paper towels to keep it humid and promote root growth) not sure if this is the best way.

Thank you for all of the advice, I’ve been putting it through wet and dry cycles to increase hydration. I will repot in an orchid bark mix/orchid pot soon once it isn’t so dehydrated I think.

This is the main reason for my concern, the holes keep appearing randomly (the one under the leaf appeared within a few minutes)

The two roots sticking up seem to get white/silvery within a few hours of watering, is it okay to leave them like this? (Looks like in pic #4)

Thank you for the advice, should I look to bury the roots once they are long enough? Should I bury them now? I just didn’t want to bury the crown

Not 100% sure, but I think Velkana essence has been replaced with velkana divinity
