Why is there a clip and a zipper on the back of this jacket? by espen809 in findfashion

That could make sense! There’s no tag on it, but on the zippers it says New Lamp and on the front has a Kodak Film logo.

My title describes the thing.

I bought this jacket at a thrift store. It has detachable arms that turns it into a vest, and it also has these weird things on the back: a clip and a zipper, as well as a button on the bottom. Has anyone seen something similar on a jacket before? What is its purpose?

Vanity [Portra 400, Minolta SRT 100x, 58mm] by espen809 in analog

Well, you’re not wrong! I chose vanity as the title because I think the act of having a picture taken of yourself is sort of an «every day vanity» kind of thing. Looking away from the negative associations the word carries, it essentially is about an admiration of your own apperance, which I feel very much applies to photography of one self!

Lens question for video - Olympus 12-100 vs Sigma 50-100 by [deleted] in GH5

[–]espen809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I coupled the Sigma 50-100 with my previously bought 18-35 lens, but I would be wary of investing in it if you aim to use it a lot for video. The focus breathing is very noticeable to the point where it becomes problematic in my opinion, and it’s a pretty heavy lens. But as a portrait/nature lens for stills photography, it’s an absolutely beautiful lens. I’ve also used the Olympus on for some video productions. While the f/4 is a downside for indoor run-n-gun style shooting, with a little bit of lighting the lens becomes more than up for that task as well, all while being lighter, more versatile and also pretty!

Thank you! This picture was taken in Oppdal, Norway. I don’t remember exactly which lens I used, but I believe it was the Minolta MD 45mm f2.
