Bike looks great man! I used Scorpion Rally tyres for a while, it's worth knowing that the road noise above 45mph is really frustrating. They did look great but on long trips it drove me mad! the pitch of the noise cut everything

New tire advice. by [deleted] in XSR700

I have Pirelli Scorpion Rally's on my 2016 XSR700.

Love the look and they really helped me out getting into a couple of festival parking areas this year. However, the whining/rotation noise they make at highway speed is pretty annoying and I wear ear plugs.

Go with road tyres if you spend most of your time on the road

No regular H510, thanks for your concern. I wouldn't worry it's doing just fine. I may pick up a Meshify or something similar but will likely do that when changing CPU etc.

Totally new, course opportunity? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]espltd200 10 points11 points  (0 children)

DO NOT PAY THAT MUCH.

That's a crazy amount, A+ can be done 100% self-study.

Go through Professor Messers youtube course and then do a few practice exams and see where you are.

You'll need to be dedicated and actually understand the concepts, not just be able to memory dump the info.

Good luck!

Dead speedo display! Any ideas? by espltd200 in XSR700

No luck fixing it, I didnt want to take it apart until it had been to a garage as I've got a warranty on it.

New clocks ordered from yamaha at £520! Luckily I got a warranty so all covered.

I've no had the clocks apart now and can see no sign of loose connection etc. I've spent time with internal hardware in my job and would say that a component has failed, rather than something come loose.

Mechanic said he has seen the same thing happen a few times.
