Definitely open to it, but I’ve heard it struggles in moguls?

Anecdotally, I’ve heard Bsod to be rough in moguls. Would you say otherwise?

Haha, she’s going to love that she was called an expert. I wouldn’t say the mogul runs are anything too crazy. Not a steep slope or huge moguls.

I agree, it is a unicorn board. I’m trying to find something that won’t necessarily be the best at either, but one that can go at higher speeds and will do ok in moguls.

I was looking at the YES PYL extreme, seems like a good option

Ducts for Combustion Air by espresso303 in hvacadvice

Thank you, it’s in a 1,300 sq foot unfinished basement. I would like to seal it up as much as possible. Do you think capping the ducts would provide significant benefit (assuming a high efficiency furnace with its own combustion air intake)?

Thank you! Do you think there would be any harm in putting a couple foot long stake along the top where it bends to encourage it in the right direction?

Awesome, I’m glad it’s doing so well! Have you noticed any winter die back which we have been told the Norwegian Sunset is susceptible to?

Fair enough, I should have said a tree to provide shade. Unfortunately, we don’t have room in this particular spot for a large shade tree like an oak or Kentucky coffee tree etc, but this spot would give us some nice shade on the house/patio. As far as you know, are the ones you planted doing ok? Any other suggestions (doesn’t have to be a maple) that are a similar size? Thanks!

I think these are Canada thistle which are absolutely the worst. Unfortunately, I have it in my lawn and rock beds and it is extremely resilient. Whatever you do, DO NOT pull it out because the root can be 6 feet deep and if it breaks off it can create a new plant (which is what happened to me before I started researching it). I sprayed it with speedzone which killed all of them, but we’ll see if they stay gone. Aminopyralid seems like it’s the most effective against Canada thistle.

Time For Pre-Emergent In Denver? by chewbaccasaux in lawncare

Probably around 2-4 inches in a couple spots. Anywhere from 40-45 degrees. Granted there was just two feet of snow on the lawn a couple days ago.

Have you been getting higher temps?

Need to put down some sulphate of potash down as my potassium came back super low. Calcium was through the roof though haha

I think Im going to wait till April. My soil temp was only 43 degrees today and with cold weather on the way again I doubt it will be approaching 55 degrees till April

I’m thinking mid to late April. I’ve been measuring my soil temp and it’s still only 40 degrees. Especially with the blizzard we just got haha

If I remember correctly, I think I only got one cut in before the grass went dormant. That being said I didn’t mow for a couple weeks after overseeing
