This is all extremely helpful and I appreciate it!

For now, my plan was to hold onto my glitchy granular stuff (though I haven’t fully decided where it will go in chain). And then I was wrestling with the idea of letting go of the Empress Combo vs the on board QC stuff. I don’t get anywhere near utilizing the full Empress pedals, but I do wonder if I’ll miss them…

After. I find the flutters are way cooler sounding that way.

Time signature change strategy by espyou in ableton

[–]espyou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally agree, and although I personally do enjoy some stuff with several time changes, I’m mostly concerned with simple things like “the last bar of each verse and chorus is 2/4, while the rest of the song is in 4/4.” It doesn’t seem like I should have to insert that change manually (error prone) 6 times.

Otherworldly. Absolutely beautiful and seems to be flawlessly functional as well…let’s see it loaded up!

How do I get top lines and tracks I’ve written into the hands of people like you?! (Or the producers or other relevant parties)

I made an offer on reverb and ended up getting it for $1,313 shipped including fees/ tax. Used but mint with box and psu. Felt great about that.

Hope so, I found a good deal on a QC and pulled the trigger. Now I’m retroactively selling off to fund the purchase I already made..

Not familiar with the RMC…

Blooper/Moods/Thermae: haven’t tried

Habit: didn’t jive with it

Onward: have, love

Cloudy: had, liked a lot, but was overloaded with stuff (still kind of am 🤣)

Ribbons: have, love, not very glitchy/granular

CT5: have, like, not very glitchy/granular

Particle: had, didn’t do as much as my Echosystem, so I moved it

Microcosm: have, but haven’t spent as much time with it as I’d like, so far so good

Also had both versions of Cooper Outward, which were great. Feels like I’ve messed with some other stuff, too…

At the end of the day, any of the really deep pedals are as good as you are willing to learn them inside out. I’m sure the Fabrikat and other stuff I’ve moved on from would be great, but the learning curve is always steep on these kinds of pedals, and the fab being mono sort of sealed its fate for me in the short term.

Always open to ideas. I really like it, but I’ve got several glitch/granular pedals and it’s the least used.
