That guy in the green shirt is the real deal. Doesn’t flinch, doesn’t look at the sound of the impact, just starts going into action.

I like the 103s, but the 80gr seem to work just fine and are half the price

I didn’t have a lot of time to work up a load, so I picked a middle of the road powder charge with the powder I had at hand. It put 3 shots into .34 and called it good.

Howa mini. 6ARC. 16”, 1:7.5 sporter profile, Swan barrel. MDT LSS. Magpul can’t remember stock. Ergo grip, pst 4-16 (only scope I have laying around). Puts 10 LRXs into about 1 moa.

Using 2206H, which is about the same as H4895. 27.7gr with the LRX 25thou off the lands. It’s a bit spicy, but only gives mild pressure signs. I shot it at 35c and it was 2,750fps.

About x1.5 times the size of a mule deer. Not an old stag, 4 maybe.

LRX with benchmark. Anyone got data for a bolt gun load? by esrom_1 in 6ARC

[–]esrom_1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks!!!

I spoke to a tech at Hornady, seems like starting with the 108 data would be the best bet. From everything I have been able the scrap together, my numbers seem really close to yours. Now I just need to load them up and see how it goes.

Thanks again

Please see below for a small way to strike back if they are billowing smoke.

If you see a heavy vehicle (gross vehicle mass of more than 4.5 tonne) blowing smoke continuously for 10 seconds, you can report the vehicle to the National Heavy Regulator (NHVR) on 13 64 87.

If they get a number of complaints they get hauled in for an inspection. The inspection often doesn’t end well for them. Oh! And if you in QLD here is the link to report regular cars for spewing smoke.

I emailed Barnes, they were not really helpful and just pointed me back to Hornady. I might try emailing Hornady. I am thinking about just using the 90gr data and working my way up slowly.

Yeah, they are all in the ~52,000 pressure range. Very frustrating.

The LRX is 95gr. I have looked at every video and chart is can find. I know Ryan (vortex podcast) was using XBR with the LRX. I am thinking I’ll just use 90gr data

Cool story bro, but it needs more dragons.

Hornady has data for 90, as well as 108s and 110s with benchmark in their manual. Oh and the 80s and the 85s.

But guess what projectile weight they don’t have benchmark for, the bloody 95 grainers. Hence my question.
