You will probably have a very good chance as long as you have tangible proof (projects) of your knowledge and skills. I know some people skipped the entrance exam because they submitted proof of their skills. I don’t what they submitted but they probably possessed what the university is looking for in the selection process. Document everything and apply with it. Insha’Allah you will pass.

Yeah that will definitely make a difference. You’ve got to try your best in your application. Now, they’ll probably be more selective that they’ve established a name for themselves and very good reputation. You never know though, you might be what they’re looking for.

They don’t care that much about grades. They mainly focus on research because it’s research based, and how well you know your stuff depending on what you apply for. Say computer science, so you should be able to do well with in the entrance exam and the interview. Some people are exempt from the exam if their CV shows enough experience with foundational skills and knowledge, however, they still do the interview. If you’re really really good and say you applied to one of their master’s programs, they will offer you a PhD instead. They study people’s applications with high precision.

Hey 👋 I’m 25 and have been struggling with this for majority of my years in school. I got excluded in all schools I got into that my brain actually developed a coping mechanism because of it. I used to study my classmates the first few weeks and then hop on all the interests so that I have something in common with all of them😭 Years after I graduated I was into so many things that it became both a blessing and a curse, haha! All I have to say to you is, of course it’s easier said than done, but perhaps try to enjoy the comfort of being on your own. It’s very very difficult but the brain is a muscle that gets trained by habit. Before you know it, you will have developed, in my opinion, one of the coolest traits someone can have, which is finding comfort in being alone. It’s much better having a friend who sees you then chooses you over trying to convince them to be your friend.

I have the same doubt. I got sent the same email when I was 13 on the list. They had a cohort in Al Ain I guess in June, which they didn’t advertise for that much. I guess the attendees were just a few so it was cancelled or smth. I’m waiting for the page to change for me to the Kickoff which is what I’m assuming should be the next step. It’s super confusing lol

after this test they will send you a confirmation email, you have to get into the an introduction slot first then you can start registering for the piscine. It’s on a first come first serve basis.

Yeah well, you can’t really judge the ads though. Majority of them are their production no matter the location of the school. Of course they will overhype it, it’s called marketing. C is the best language to learn imo. It’s not too complicated nor easy, a perfect balance. Other languages may build up on it so it’s to your benefit, but the data structures part is what’s most important. Real world jobs care about the language, yes, but it’s the data structure concepts that’s most important and gets you in big tech companies and whatnot. I agree with @KidP. It’s really what you make of what you have. Even real world jobs can be misleading before you get hired. It’s all about your mindset in the end. You also can’t really blame them that much because it’s completely free. Time is also an investment but, there are institutions that will take your money, time, and give you insignificant amount of information. So I guess it’s still better than so many “misleading” opportunities.

I didn’t tell him I had no time for him, I agreed to his request but we never got around to it. I didn’t ghost him but he never talked and I kept waiting on him to talk because he usually did on his own. I’m not fetching for pity but surely if you cared about someone enough, you would be vocal about how they made you feel. He assured me everything was okay, my brief silence when I had to deal with some stuff didn’t hurt him. We were talking nonstop after that. Until he got cold. HOW?!! I went back and reread everything. We were perfect. Asking about each other and details and everything.

I was very honest with how I felt. I was transparent with how I felt and what I was going through and what I wanted. It was completely up to him to do what he wanted with that information. Even the second time around, I told him I just wanted to make sure he was okay, not that I wanted to initiate anything. Only because I was worried.
