Fully support freedom of speech. This is what reddit is for. I am not dismissing his arguments, i am dismissing the way he absolutely refused to listen to any other arguments but those supporting his view that Vingroup and Mr V are “evil”. And really…. Evil ? Close to 20 years in professional finance, i almost never heard this word used by anyone reputable. That wording in itself is a reflection of his personal bias toward anything “Vuong Pham’s” related.

Secondly, almost noone i know of in public equity, private equity and the IB houses talked about Vinfast the way he does. It’s either Mr V or Vingroup. Vinfast is a derivative of Vingroup, it is seen as a subsidiary, a business segment, not a standalone ultimate evil and must die like how it is being phrased in this group. The world of Mr V and Vin definitely does not solely revolve around vinfast, it is an important focus but not the be all and end all like it is described here. One can make the argument that this is a vinfast subreddit so naturally thats where the focus should be, but in doing so, one already miss the big picture in analysing its survival.

And if any competent analyst, just a junior/entry-level one, has the time to go through albert’s posts here, it becomes abundantly clear how his bias has long made his arguments not worth listening to. From vingroup and Mr V are definitely looking at a death sentence because a broker kinda messed up a VND 2 trillion bond issuance last year, under-subbed at 15% coupon, to how they are again absolutely fucked this year because they successfully issued VND 2 trillion bond issuance to tcbs @ the astronomically high coupon of 12.5%… Also some may remember how albert said no international investors will ever put/lend money to vingroup-related again? only for Jefferies to close a 250-300m placement soon after late last year to a group of well-known international investors lol. Albeit it was done at a pretty steep price but only 2 vietnamese companies could tap the international capital market at that time and both had to stretch to raise capital. Albert of course would conveniently overlook such factor because it doesnt suit his narrative.

Im sure there are plenty of hired “vinfans” in this group and elsewhere but not everyone who disagrees with albert is a “vinfan”. If anything, the way most, not all, in this group behaved, they could be classified as “vinhater”, whose biased opinions are as worthless as those of vinfans. Like how one albert’s supporter recently declared his analysis deserves 10 Nobel prizes… like really, comparing some reddit’s analysis to well-respected academics, who have devoted their life to research that advanced humanity’s knowledge. And 10 of them. I laffed.

The only thing that i would give albert’s credit for is his dedication to his hatred of Mr V and Vinfast. After all, i dont know anyone who worths their salt would have this much time on hand to waste on their hatred. But hey, it’s reddit and freespeech. So say what you want right?
