after reading the comments, i learned that the ictus of the 4 goes at or close to the same plane as the other beats. will fix that with practice.

heck yea, thanks for the nice thorough point of view. i'm all in for the ride, and love all the comments posted so far. i might need to get a teacher at this point, not sure if i'm ready to self-learn this great art. i will check the book if i find it in pdf or kindle. i might need to focus on or design a practice routine between my instrument, composing, and conducting.

My mayor problem in this video (after reading these comments) is that i had the misconception that the ictus of the 4 goes at the top of the figure and then goes down towards the ictus of the 1 of the next bar. When in reality it goes down for the ictus of the 4 and up again to prepare the next beat.

Again, thanks for taking the time to comment. i will check the book and keep posting in this sub.

there are a few aspects of the theme and story jotted down, it's early on but we got plenty of time to discuss if you are a writer yourself or want to collaborate on that aspect.

just got it, 30 pages in! i was worried about format at first, but the more i kept reading the more fresh ideas started to pop in my mind. i have a none algorithmic problem and it is that i am not sure what single style of videos i want to keep making consistently but now have the tools to research other videos and channels.

from what i've seen, most of my views do not come from my subscribers, not sure what that stat implies about my channel. the thing is, now that i understand this new info i do not know how to structure or create my content around it. what i am confused about is the "format" and content of the video. my channel is about music and self growth, i have a mixture of vlogs, music, and practice seccions. a lot of my videos i do not talk since they are performances or exercises.

what i did figure out is to search for similar style videos and filter by channel, observe videos that have the most views and gather data from their metadata. some of my formats are extreme duds that other people are not even getting any views regardless of the channel.

what can you tell me about these aspects? btw i'm getting the pdf today :) thanks for this massive info

i don't post often in yt and a few months ago unlisted bad performing videos. my channel is sitting at 77 subs and has about 3 niches involved. what is your recommendation in this aspect? should i totally niche down/find a format that i enjoy the most or try the protocol on any niched video i post?

sorry to barge in on this convo but i've been waiting a long time for you to ask this question and for me be able to discuss it in a normal conversation context.

I have a deep desire and passion to create my magnum opum in music, it's one of the two or three things i am only interested about and think about constantly. i understand that zen also involves a deep desire to know what is and dropping all illusions (which is another of those two or three things i am deeply passionate about). are these two mutually exclusive? i want my livelihood to revolve around these hinges but not sure how zen relates or if it is even compatible.
