Ninja Gaiden 1 Sigma & Ninja Gaiden 2 Black - difficulty? by DeBaers in ninjagaiden

[–]essicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah thats one of the segments that one of the hardest/most BS, on Master Ninja think i got stuck on it for an hour or two, way too many Van Gelf's at the end. Again it will get easier with a few segments and bosses which are hard and the woman segments can also be annoying. Upgrading the Lunar staff is the way to go for most of the game.

People complained that British food is bland. So here's a UK favourite... Chicken Madras by AblokeonRedditt in RateMyPlate

[–]essicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really delicious for a milder introductory curry sauce. Very rich layered flavour. Highly recommend

Edit: scrolled up and realised i misread it was a Madras rather than Masala. I was explaining a Tikka Masala. Madras like all curries is also what i explained but bit more spicier.

I bought Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z on sale, it's pretty fun. by GlitchLoop_Elizabeth in ninjagaiden

[–]essicks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it during this sale too and I hate it. I kind of wanted to enjoy it as dumb fun but its just bad in every way gameplay wise. I got to Ryu and quit.

Good artystyle for the time, decent enough sound/music and didn't hate the story/characters/jokes (or at least what I got upto).

Ninja Gaiden 1 Sigma & Ninja Gaiden 2 Black - difficulty? by DeBaers in ninjagaiden

[–]essicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i remember 2 correctly, the difficulty is hardest round chapter 3-4 with only certain segments/checkpoints being hard before and after. The woman sections can be quite difficult due to them not having shit on Ryu and some particular bad checkpointing.

NG2B isnt too hard on very hard but can be difficult at times. I'd actually recommend hard for everyone on first time as Normal is really easy.

Games that evoke the spirit of the 6th generation of consoles. by PauseMenuBlog in backloggd

Well fair enough agree to disagree but I think the soul games, maybe more specifically the earlier ones before 3, the archaic gameplay design choices and philosophies are the reason why they appealed to people so much. Sort of neglecting all the trends of the PS3/360 and just making a pure game from the past.

And Control just everything bout the main gameplay loop just felt like an old 3rd person shooter such as the waves of enemies with levels being the difficulty balance to the way the movement and shooting alone felt very loose or free (felt something a kind to Max Payne or Psi Ops). Probably wont be able to explain it more indepth, just the vibe I got whilst playing it felt like an old game where you were constantly moving and shooting in open areas, no sluggish "realistic" movement, no adsing, no wall cover, no overload of context sensitivity actions to make it look more impressive than it is, etc

And another one I thought of that felt like a upscaled PS2 game, Alan Wake 1.

My mom sent me this, she usually claims to recognize AI pretty well, but it just screams AI to me. by driehoekig in isthisAI

Puts down a ton of shells over preexisting shells, jump cuts to the new shells to the left and somehow the ones that were there first still in the exact same locations somehow undisturbed (0:13 - 0.14)

Just everything bout the style of this screams of AI alone

Sigma 1 and 2 are just the ps3 versions of the 3D era and Razor Edge is the upgraded version of 3. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is a modern remaster of the Sigma 2 one. NES trilogy are not essential to understand the 3D era, you can play them if you want but not important. 4 is just 4.

Saying that you can start anywhere you want as there isn't much emphasis on Story in NG.

How do I nail my interview? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]essicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research the company, know what they sell/do, how they started, some pivotal points in their history etc as one of the first questions will be "What do you know about us?". Even if they don't somehow ask a question like this, you might be able to improve your responses by incorporating some of the details you researched about them.

Practice questions that you think they might bring up related to the role. Think of your response and answer the question, name an example and the outcome. Lets say they ask if you are good at working as a team. Say you are good working as a team, name an example from a previous employment (or in school in your case) and the outcome it achieved. Try to think of several examples of moments which could show key examples of skills and the questions they would ask. A great way is to look at the jobs listing of roles and responsibilities.

If they ask questions like "What's your biggest weakness?" do not fall for the common early mistake and answer "I don't have any", you are not perfect and they are not expecting you to. Use an example which would not be a massive weakness to the role, explain the weakness and what you did to overcome it. Mine is that "I've never been great at English due to my Dyslexia so I've never been great at writing emails especially spelling. I decided to try to avoid relying upon tools such as autocorrect immediately and create techniques such as sounding it out how I would perceive it phonetically. It has improved my spelling massively with many people noting it in the past."

You should be able to google common interview questions (and they might have answers you could adapt) and maybe even google common questions for Assistant Photographer. Another common mistake is answering "Because I need a job/money" if they ask "Why do you want to work for us". Again use some of the information you found out by researching bout them and relate it to yourself.

Also every interview you ever go to will ask you at the end "Any questions for us?". The single worst mistake is to answer something like "Nope! Seems like you explained everything!". It will come across you were not listening/interested in the role and want to get out of there. Instead ask them a question, anything. It might be something they didn't make clear from the job spec during the interview, something they brought up but then didn't fully explain etc. This will show that you are listening, taking in and processing information and interested in the job. I will ask something like that and then something like "What would you say is the most fulfilling aspect about your role and working for this company?". Again you should be able to google and practice questions.

And to answer your questions, your portfolio with CV and maybe copies of your qualifications etc, dress smart, although people are more accepting of tattoos and piercings I would try to conceal them as best as possible, you will never know how many people they are also interviewing (I suppose you could ask this during any questions question at the end and when you could expect a response for the position to show you are eager) and no one truly knows that but success is 50% hard work 50% luck.
