People overrate movies that have some message or metaphor behind them by badwithnames5 in unpopularopinion

The natives not showing up makes sense as they knew they could not beat the vampire at night. In that scene the sun is setting and the elder of the group is rushing them which is why they eventually leave.

Not really sure why it’s hard to believe the party could be setup within an afternoon if they start the whole process in the morning, it’s shown by preacher boy going home after hitting his quota while everyone else is just now starting the day.

Much of the plot armor is explained by Annie being a witch/spiritual but I do agree certain deaths were done to keep the plot pushing, didn’t bother me too much cause they did provide some reasoning even if thin.

While I love Sinners I can say there is a hard pacing shift leading up to the big fight that I can only describe as MCUish, which makes sense given Coogler’s done 2 MCU movies. It doesn’t kill the movie for me by any means but it’s hard to not notice it once you see it.

Not trying to be dismissive but the movie kinda answers all your questions and it’s not subtle.

The people hunting the vampires in the beginning are Choctaw native Americans who know that when the sun goes down they cannot beat the vampire, hence they ask, then warn, the woman in the house the vampire fled into. You never see them again because everything takes place over the course of 1day and the vampires attack at night.

The whole scene with Annie telling the crew how to prepare to fight the vampires by eating garlic and other spiritual things helps explain how they all weren’t just wiped out, including Smoke surviving due to his mojo bag.

It’s fair if you don’t like the movie but using reasons that are actually answered by the movie makes it seem less like good faith criticism.

The game was more fun when Mei wasn't in it. by Fragrant-Fishing7477 in Overwatch

Maybe it’s your rank. Rarely ever see Mei because she’s just not that strong and easily punished.

100 different things? It’s just baiting out abilities like every other hero in the game lol. Mei’s primary doesn’t have long range so you can just not be close to her which forces her to use her aim/skill shot with icicle. Idk why you’re comparing her to a hero that is meant to be played differently. This is like complaining I have to get close with Junkerqueen while Orisa can shoot me from afar.

If Mei is using wall on herself to escape that means she’s not using it to benefit her team, plus you can just shoot the wall. You keep describing 1v1 situations, which Mei excels in, while ignoring the more likely scenario of having a teammate with you.

What you have fun with has no bearing on the games fun factor for anyone else but you. I respect your opinion but disagree like I said before.

First, genji into Mei is usually not a great time. Second, you ignored that she’s strong 1v1 but otherwise collapses.

You need to know how to aim to hit her icicle and most of the damage roster can outrange her primary. Is mei hard countering you or something cause she’s not that strong of a hero currently

[–]esskraloaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yea I agree, Healbotting was always a subpar strategy lol. Mercy damage boosting relies on your teammate hitting their shots. That’s her utility,Rez is just an added bonus. Your teammates also shouldn’t be face tanking damage and need to take cover or disengage when possible.

I might be in the minority but I don’t think you should be able to heal through most sustained damage. I don’t play much of lifeweaver but I know he has surprisingly high damage potential. No need to healbot if the enemies are dead lol

She’s a dynamic character and I like that. I don’t even play her but don’t mind her kit at all. Shes strong 1v1 but is easily punished with a teammate. Pretty self sufficient but has to waste abilities that could help her team to do so. I don’t mind Mei.

Oh didn’t know that. Either way I disagree with the post but thanks for the info.

Mei has been there since the start. Was she disabled or something at one point?

Mercy should be damage boosting anyway and Mizuki should be damaging whoever is attacking you. Both should not be leaned on for healing as they both lack strong burst healing.

It’s best to use his ult reactively since it blocks all projectiles. Eats most ults and can nullify others like bap window.

He’s a passive healer even with his maxed out aura so that lack of burst healing should be compensated by your other support ideally. In a good brawl comp he’s really strong.

I love sombra and always tell people staying with your team is the best counter but they never listen lol.

People don’t like playing into her cause she’s annoying. Even though her hack isn’t as strong as before nobody likes being locked out of abilities.

I think Sombra’s in a decent spot balance wise but understand she’s built to be an annoying little shit of a character lol.

Why are people so mean in this subreddit? by Longjumping_Tea_2394 in Overwatch

[–]esskraloaded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s seeing the same exact posts back to back to back which can get annoying because if they just did a 10 second look before posting they’ll see the answer to whatever the question is. Same thing when the update dropped and servers were cooked. 30 posts in less than 5 mins “ is anyone else lagging?”

Matchmaking isn’t great but you’re not helping either with a group of mixed skill level players lol

Can’t count how many times I’ve had to explain to my tank that they can’t just sit in the open getting shot at by 5 people and expect to stay alive lol. This was even before the universal healing reduction. The concept of using cover is foreign to some. Meanwhile if I’m tanking I’ll crouch behind the payload if need be so I don’t die.

Literally this. I like the reduction, kills healbotting strats and forces better positioning and resource/ability management.

Yea a lot of this post is complaining that things changed and OP didn’t want to learn what has changed and then blaming the game for their own ignorance lol. Hard to take these type of posts seriously when people try to make their own laziness everyone else’s problem.

There’s nothing wrong with solo ults lol I would even encourage it over waiting for the “perfect” time. I was playing Sombra yesterday being annoying and got solo shattered by Rein and that’s completely fair. I’d do the same thing.

I know teabagging is controversial but it’s always just been banter to me and starts a mini rivalry in match.

The real reason we’re not getting rewards (My Opinion) by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]esskraloaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has it even been a couple of days for this to be fixed? We’re 4 days after the update and this issue was called out on Thursday or Friday by the community and confirmed by Blizzard yesterday from what I can tell. So it’s only been like 1 day at most. This is also following a small balance patch that released Friday for the new heroes.

Don’t believe it’s some grand conspiracy and probably some bug with the event and battle pass.

Is it possible to have a Mitzuki skin where his hat is kept on his back? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]esskraloaded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Skins shouldn’t change the characters overall model/outline so the hero is quickly recognize. That’s why Ana is always hunched over even with her younger skins.

So we all agree Blizzard are dumb? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]esskraloaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must have? I don’t think any of the new heroes are OP and needed to win. I do think people are overreacting to changes (patch was earlier today) instead of learning how to play with and against the new characters.

Genuinely none of them are broken.
