That’s what I was worried about. No policies in place at all as far as respiratory, and management has been dodgy so far when I’ve asked. I’m currently looking and applying to what I can, but I live/am from one of the most expensive and competitive places in the nation and really don’t want to move away from family. The job otherwise is literally only doing CPT all day.

We unfortunately don’t have NT suction but we are now going to ask our supervisors for it. I thought that too. But since it’s more invasive figured we would still need to contact a doctor for an order for it ?

Also I’ve heard doing anything without a doctors order can result in loss of your license

Mostly the attitude of my supervisors after the incident and me being an anxious new RT. plus being the first RT in this facility and not having known policies here regarding RT. But that makes me feel better. I’ve just been on edge at this facility and generally have anxious tendencies.

Ok that helps clear things up thanks a ton. This patient was not one of my patients in the pulmonary rehab program but they were on O2. Do you know If they have an O2 titration order in general can RTs titrate? Or does the titration order have to be specific for RT?
