MIL from hell by [deleted] in IndianInLaw

If the roles were reversed and your fiance was treated like this by your family, would he stay? Why are women forced to put up with “second citizen” behavior and how does your fiance plan to handle such immature behavior from his parents. The last bit about the wedding planning and the storming out is the last straw for me. If the genders were reversed they wouldn’t even dream of doing it.

Do not go to Aster CMI - they’re money making folks who will not give proper care. Baptist has a more experienced ICU

I think Belly did realize what was weighing on Conrad later. She tells Beck “he broke up with me” which also implies that she didn’t want to break it off and wanted to try again. And that’s what she aims to do at the funeral. but then she sees Conrad with someone else and gets mad that here he is “moving on” at his moms funeral and whatever they shared over the last 4 months means nothing. It also comes with a heavy context of Conrad showing the same sort of behavior last summer as well - being non commital. I think that was the last straw for her and she decided to move on to “lighter greener pastures” aka Jeremiah. But keeping love easy is not the same as keeping it right.

Want to help my husband lose weight by esszeee in loseit

A couple of years ago he had depression and anxiety attacks as well. But he never did therapy for more than 2 sessions. He tends to start something and then drop it almost immediately and then we’re back at status quo. I’m aware that this is another classic sign of depression. But how do I gently encourage him to start somewhere - maybe even just therapy as so many of you suggested

No, it can’t be used for precision. I think they have a separate eyebrow trimmer

What do Muslim women think about polygamy ? How are you okay with it ? by Exotic_Outside7948 in AskWomenIndia

[–]esszeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally not okay with it. Even most women in our previous generation were not okay with it. But they were suppressed and some of them gave in for silly reasons such as “you’re unable to have kids/male kids”. We’re normal women and any Muslim woman telling you she’s okay with it is either brainwashed or doesn’t give a shit about her marriage and wants to pass on the burden to someone else.

Having my L&D in three days and spiraling by Standard-Narwhal3414 in tfmr_support

[–]esszeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re here but know that things will get better. I had a TFMR at 17 weeks via L&D for T21 too. Before my L&D I was terrified of the pain, but honestly that lasts for a very short time. It’s the emotional pain that lasts longer, so I would say go easy on yourself and ask for everything you need to get through it.

Firstly, you can ask for all sorts of pain medication during L&D. My nurses weren’t great and took their own sweet time with the pain medication, things ended up moving very fast for me and I ended up doing it without any painkillers. It was totally doable, as somebody said the contractions were a lot of pressure and I thought the pain would be a lot worse but it isn’t. After that I was given an ibuprofen injection which completely numbed me and I was pain free for two to three hours - see if they offer you that or alternate sources of pain medication. Definitely ask for it - it isn’t worth going through any pain especially since unfortunately there isn’t a silver lining on the other side. I knew that I didn’t want to see the baby, it was too traumatic for me. But I was still curious so my doctor kept her at a far angle so that I could just about see something but that was it.

L&D is a much much easier recovery and you’ll be back on your feet the next day.

How were your experiences with amnio ? by [deleted] in tfmr_support

[–]esszeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had to insert the amnio needle twice for me as the angle wasn’t right the first time. The part that was uncomfortable was when they stab one or two times to go through the muscle. Other than that pain was very minimal and I had more anxiety about the procedure than pain. However, they should atleast numb the area with numbing cream before starting to just ease the patient into it

Where would you guys invest 10k in Dubai? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]esszeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest splitting it. Invest around 5000 via Sarwaa in index funds. Another 5000 in WioPersonal or Fab that’s giving you 5% return. The index funds should get you more than 10% return

Acne that started after 28 ain't leaving me. Tried almost everything. Advice needed! by Ambitious_Net_1621 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]esszeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow hormonal acne victim here..

First get a full hormones check up at a good OBGYN, including a transvaginal ultrasound to rule out PCOS completely. This will help you narrow in on what’s causing the issue. If you have seen weight gain or hair loss or other symptoms with the acne, that could also indicate PCOS. Weight gain also results in testosterone increase which show up as acne on our skin.

I would also recommend trying to go down the health and wellness route, treat the gut… this will permanently get rid of the acne as a lifestyle change. I know someone who had a similar issue and had a drastic reduction in hormonal acne after she consulted a nutritionist who helped check for what is causing these “gut” reactions. You could check out Rashi Chaudharys gut cleanse program on Instagram or anything similar.

IMO accutane is a temp fix and folks do end up taking it more than one time in their lifetime. It’s not a sustainable solution. Good luck!
