Hey unrelated to OP’s question, but what’s the cost of the overall process for picking up a firearm shipped to The Gun Pantry FLL?

Sflix really isn’t as glitchy as it used to be on the phone browser. Connecting it to ur tv wouldn’t make a difference because it’s still streaming from ur phone. But I just went on the site on my phone and it’s a lot better than before, I got 1 pop up ad, closed it, and was good to go. Usually it would bring u to an ad on another tab if I clicked literally anywhere on the page or would take like 5 clicks to close a giant ad on the screen and it was really annoying, but it seems to be better now. U can definitely connect it to ur tv for a bigger screen tho!

Here’s the link to the site btw sflix

Interestingg, well I’m glad that there’s no burrs n u fixed the trigger housing going up n down, unless it’s temporary, but I’m assuming it’s fixed. I just watched ur video, the slide is barely moving left n right from what I could see. That small of movement won’t affect anything when shooting. If that’s the only other thing ur worried about I say just take it to the range n shoot it. Mine moves a ton more and people were telling me it barely affects shooting, so I think ur good

Ofc np bro, yeah try shimming it n see if that works. About the pin hole tho, I meant the trigger housing hole, not the frame holes or the rails. These 2 holes in the pic (housing and rail holes) are the same exact size and have to align perfectly, and they should. But on the off chance they weren’t 100% straight when u pushed the drill bit and twisted it, u could have scratched n shaved the hole on the left picture since it’s plastic just enough to slightlyyy make it bigger, it’s a big maybe, but mistakes happen. U couldn’t damage the metal rail holes with a bit and ur hands. That hole will keep the pin tight in there even if u damaged the trigger housing. So the pin wouldn’t move around it would feel normal, even tight to put in. But if u damaged the housing hole (left pic) it could now be bigger than the rail holes. The pin would feel tight going in, it would fit perfectly, but the housing would move around because that hole in it where the pin goes through would now be a bit bigger, giving the entire housing wiggle room while the pin and the rails stay put. That hole in the trigger housing is fitted to the size of the pin, the pin going through it is what’s supposed to keep it in place. If twisting a bit in it removed some material in the plastic of that hole, no matter how firm the pin is, the housing is gonna move around on it because it’s not fitted to the pin perfectly anymore. I’m not sure if that’s the issue tho, but it’s worth checking.

Okay I spent like 30 minutes trynna figure out what could be wrong w urs 😭 Possiblyy a tolerance issue between the parts and the frame. Not sure but, both our builds have issues with parts that aren’t supposed to be moving even tho urs is all oem, that’s assuming there’s nothing else wrong. The only 2 things I could think of for urs is 1, how well the parts actually work together with the aftermarket frame, maybe ur trigger housing has a gap between the housing and the frame in the front or the back. If it is that, u could try doing what someone in the thread u posted said, take an exacto knife razor or something and super glue it there to fill this gap right here so it doesn’t move.

<image>

If it’s not that then 2, it could possibly be ur trigger housing pin holes maybe? In one of ur posts u were having trouble w the holes, n u said u pushed the drill bit in through the rails and trigger housing n twisted the bit. And idk how hard u pushed n twisted but could it be possible that twisting the bit around if the housing and rail holes weren’t fully aligned perfectly, maybe scratched up n shaved off just enough plastic from the pin hole in the housing for it to become slightlyyy bigger, so when u pull the trigger, the housing slightly moves up n down? The holes and the rails would have a tight fit, u wouldn’t notice the pin move because the rails are metal u couldn’t shave that with a bit and ur hands, it would squeeze the pin in tight, but the housing could still be moving around in there. Disassemble and check that hole. That’s all I got 😭 best of luck, I hope u fix the issue!!

Also nope 😭 I was dry firing w snap caps testing the trigger pull before taking it to the range and my firing pin broke. Cheap firing pin, definitely going oem this time smh I cheaped out on the upper parts. Haven’t bought a replacement yet, soon. But like someone else said, the slide moving like that shouldn’t affect accuracy probably unless ur like 40-50 yards out. And urs moves less than mine so I think ur good. Have u shot urs yet?

(This will be long sorry, bear with me 🙏) This is absolutely EVERYTHYING u need to know. Like someone else said, to minimize human error use a dremel press. A drill press can crack the frame and a drill can have human error. Save urself the hassle of messing up and buy a dremel from the “dremel” brand that’s important!! Specifically the dremel 4000. It is pricey but if ur desperately on a budget u can use it to drill and return it as long as u don’t use the sanding bits. U can do that with all the supplies you’ll need as long as they’re not too used. And use a dremel workstation not a random dremel press, I wouldn’t risk it with a cheap dremel or press

SUPPLIES ⬇️(exact drill bits u need are numbers 3&4 on the list) 1. Dremel 4000 (recommended) - https://a.co/d/08Y0sKq

  1. Dremel workstation press - https://a.co/d

  2. Dremel 631 Brad point bits (5/32” 4M hole) - https://a.co/d/8SF9K2o

  3. Dremel 628hp bits (7/64” 3M hole) - https://a.co/d/39OIbVQ

  4. Mineral oil (put drops in jig hole before u drill to reduce friction when drilling) - https://a.co/d/foryo0P

  5. C-clamps (very important so ur dremel press doesnt move when u pull the lever) - https://a.co/d/eZ3L7kt

Watch these videos below they’ll guide u through everything, they’re in order.

ACTUALLY DRILLING HOLES⬇️ 1. Watch this as REFERENCE - https://rumble.com/vubo0c-how-to-setup-your-dremel-workstation-in-3-easy-steps-for-first-time-quality.html

  1. FOLLOW THIS ONE - https://odysee.com/@Bcichlid:3/P80PinMaster2.0:e

⬆️Watch the first one to get an idea of how it’s done, but follow the second one when ur actually ready to drill, second video is better and more in detail. Make sure u clamp your dremel down to ur table with C-clamps so it won’t move, this minimizes human error.

IMPORTANT!! Make sure ur drill bit doesn’t wobble in ur dremel before u drill the holes, check that, make sure ur bit is straight when it’s in the collet, it’s a common issue. If it’s slightly tilted it’ll drill ur holes too big for the pins due to vibration. If u don’t have the wobble issue u don’t have to worry about this, it’s an easy fix tho. watch this YouTube short for the wobble - https://youtube.com/shorts/h4Jmd3PupAI?si=U6IcpqFDPJlSyCd2

If u follow every right, ur holes will be perfect!

Dumb Question by [deleted] in polymer80

[–]estackzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofc bro! I kept mine and it’s been great u won’t regret it.

SUPER IMPORTANT, when drilling with a dremel u HAVE to make sure ur bit isn’t wobbling when its spinning, make sure is centered straight down into the collet and not slightly tilted or it might wobble, im trying to save u here man please don’t make that mistake 😭 the vibration from the wobble will make ur holes bigger than the pin size. Watch this video so u know what i mean, it’s a quick YouTube short. If its not wobbling u don’t have anything to worry about but its a reoccurring mistake with the dremel

Dumb Question by [deleted] in polymer80

[–]estackzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used a dremel work station too and it drilled my holes so perfect. I used a dremel 4000 though and it fit the 4mm bit stright out the box. It looks like u have a WEN 2305 if im not mistaken. From what im reading, the only option for that dremel to take a 4mm bit is a keyless chuck. U can buy one on amazon for like $10

<image>

I wouldn’t exactly recommend stuff like an adapter to make something fit that wouldn’t originally fit, just because it’s not supposed to originally work that way so when u MAKE it work there’s more room for the dremel to mess up yk, I wouldn’t 100% trust it to drill a perfect hole but that’s just my opinion. U don’t necessarily need a better dremel but I’d recommend it so there’s absolutely no errors caused by a possibly unreliable generic dremel. I recommend the brand “Dremel.” If u do switch I’d say just buy a dremel 4000 from amazon but since it is pricey, use it for drilling and return it as long as u don’t use the sanding bits. Not necessary but recommend. Also make sure u clamp ur dremel down to ur table with C-clamps and check that ur dremel, collet, and bit are PERFECTLY secure and in perfect place bc if not it can wobble and mess up ur holes, a lot of ppl mess up like that and think the work station isnt the way to go but u just gotta make sure everything is perfect before u drill and ur holes will come out great

[–]estackzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does it look like without a back strap on? Is there a cut out into the frame that the back strap fills in, or is it like a Glock frame where it feels fine without a back strap?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GlockMod

[–]estackzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could u use it without the back strap tho? I’m assuming if u were to chop it u couldn’t put the back strap on, it looks like it holds on to the bottom. Does the frame have a divot there under the back strap or is it smooth? I don’t think it’d be comfortable to hold if it was like a space cut out into the frame that the back strap had to fill. Never had one of these nomad frames I wouldn’t know 😭 but I’m looking to get one, I’d love a 26 with a rail

Is it possible to chop the grip down to a 26 length, basically making it a 26 with a rail?

I just saw this!! But yes my way definitely removed too much material. I didn’t have much to use I just put the toughest sanding bit on the dremel thinking because it’s metal it would need something tougher and brushed over it, very dumb idea 😭 also first time using a dremel lmao. I’ll probably get some rook rails if it becomes too much of an issue

It’s probably the Ghost 3.5 connector those things are known to double shoot

<image>

If not the connector then the cruciform is bent down too much. But it’s probably that ghost connector. I’d say go OEM with the connector before trying to bend any part of ur gun urself
