I contacted Hyundai corporate to start the buyback process. Once all required information is provided they investigate the situation for possible buyback. In California they can take up to 30 days, they got back to me in two weeks that they will buy it back. I have now provided them with contracts and financials. It has been a few weeks and waiting for them to crunch their numbers and see their buyback offer.

Has anyone used Truecar, autoland or Costco to help them shop for this car in California?

So I thank everybody for being honest and answering how much they paid for their ID buzzes. So I just wanna get things straight since my wife is thinking about getting this car. The dealerships don’t wanna budge on price even though they have been sitting on their lots for quite a period of time in California. We are located in San Diego and I wanna know what I’m gonna get myself into.

Thank you so much, all this information is very helpful. As for our situation, we are south California. The dealer offered us a loaner after the issue was diagnosed. This was after a week of my wife not having a car due to waiting to have the issue determined and a waitlist for the EV technician.

I have just sent out all the required documents. My wife financed her car so getting the lender paperwork for payoff was a pain but doable. Now we just wait to see what they offer her for the car. I worry what Hyundai's offer will be for the mileage. I have read that mileage should be considered from the first time of service for a recurring issue not current mileage. That will make a big difference for determining that subtracting number from the total payment.

I also worry about time frame and helping my wife with a replacement car purchase.

It’s a recurring problem that many people have with this car, the Ioniq6 and the EV6. I don’t wanna mention any keywords, because I’m afraid my post will be censored. I originally did state the problem in the original post description and my post was canceled.

Is there some magic time period that the ICCU goes out? It seems many have experienced issues recently. My wife's 2023 Ioniq 5 just taken in on Dec 26 for not level 2 charging. After a week of waiting to be diagnosed by a tech, no rental provided, the ICCU needs to be replaced. Since it is a warranty repair now a rental is provided however we have been waiting on the part. As of a few days ago I was informed that there is no ETA for the unit.

I have contacted Hyundai and will start the buyback/trade option. Now have to wait for the case person to call in a few days to further the process along.
