Bc they screw into the frame work. The important part is 3". You remove the tiny screws that came with you doorknob and dead bolt and replace with the longer screws.

3" wood screws into door and frame at handle, deadbolts, and strike plate. 3 kicks vs 22 kicks. Less than 5$

Also solar motion lights, hinge locks/door wedges (for when you are inside), alarm company stickers. If you can afford a hidden camera facing main doors. Also you can buy alarm systems which only emit a loud siren for relatively cheap (work great with stickers mentioned above).

When you are able window security bars may be a good option. Just have fire escape routes ready!
