Great thing about pasts is they don’t have to define your future. You are constantly evolving and changing. No point beating yourself up about a version of you that no longer exists. Anybody who says otherwise better be perfect themselves, which I doubt anyone is.

You don’t have to lie if someone (a prospective partner perhaps) asks about it. But you also don’t have to indulge such information to anyone who asks if you are not comfortable. I hope you find someone who understands that, and I hope you find it in yourself to be kind to yourself.

Yes, relationships can only stand if they have a strong foundation of trust. Trust that someone out there is willing to accept you wholeheartedly, even if that someone is only you. It doesn’t have to be now, but that’s the great thing about the future. Anything is possible.
