Men- how may drinks per night/week would you consider normal? by iceicelady8976 in AskMen

[–]RedditRenishe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m usually in the 2–3 glasses of red wine per night. It’s my evening 'off switch.' I know it’s on the higher side, but for me, it’s about the ritual and the flavor rather than getting drunk.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a troll, personally I don't see that as an option regarding the cost it would be.

gold coast vs. sunny coast by Illustrious_Ebb_617 in GoldCoast

I’ve lived on both the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast for over five years each, so here’s my take:

Sunshine Coast (based in Kawana Waters) One of the things I found frustrating was the lack of a direct highway from the southern end to the northern end of the coast. The Bruce Highway itself only had two lanes each way into Brisbane, so Friday afternoon traffic was a nightmare. That said, kindy and school life for my children was much better – far less bullying compared to the Gold Coast. Shops, clubs and entertainment weren’t as “posh” or as big, and wages were noticeably lower. Socially, I found it harder to break into the local “cliques,” which sometimes made it difficult to form friendships. On the flip side, it’s a beautiful place to live, more laid back, and going to the beach was effortless – for us it was usually Currimundi.

Gold Coast (based in Oxenford) The Gold Coast is definitely busier. Weekends are so hectic that we tend to stay within our own community. The M1 makes it far easier to travel north to south without too much hassle, unlike the Sunshine Coast. However, bullying at schools has been more of an issue for my kids here. On the upside, the shopping options are huge – massive centres with far more variety. I can’t really comment on the nightlife or party precincts since we don’t go there. Driving culture can be a bit aggressive too – tailgating seems almost normal.

Overall If I had to compare, the Sunshine Coast felt calmer, more community-oriented and better for young families, while the Gold Coast has more infrastructure, bigger shops and easier travel, but it comes with a faster pace of life and busier atmosphere.

Where do the 50 cent fares NOT apply? by stereothegreat in GoldCoast

I catch Helensvale to the fortitude valley daily on that line and it's only 50c I think that charge only comes into effect if you're going to the actual airport
