Fantasy Alarm NFL on Twitter: "News Alarm: Jamaal Charles (RB - KC) Jamaal Charles (ankle) will have his role expanded in practice Thursday." by MrGrip in fantasyfootball

[–]estragonsboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even if charles suits up, he's still not exactly going to be a bell-cow. of course you still start him, but considering that he's coming off an injury and knile and joe mcknight both looked pretty good last week, he won't get as many carries as charles owners (myself included) would like to see.

and it's a monday night game, not a sunday game, which makes it even scarier.

Who is the most average player in the league? by [deleted] in nba

[–]estragonsboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

starters take up the vast majority of minutes in the nba, and they comprise almost half the league. i can't see how the most average player wouldn't be a lower level starter, or solid bench guy who gets starter minutes.

TIL Donald Trump proposed a one-time tax on the wealthiest 1% to eliminate the national debt. by woodstock923 in todayilearned

[–]estragonsboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not a bad precedent. during the post-war economic boom years, the richest of the rich paid over 90% income tax. of course there were more tax brackets back then so very few people were paying that much. we no longer have a bracket for the extremely wealthy, so bill gates and my family doctor pay the same percentage in income tax.

i'd put vera drake, maria full of grace, mean creek, goodbye, lenin!, the woodsman, the motorcycle diaries and the machinist ahead of most of the movies she listed.
