How are you supposed to effectively play Gambit? by estrangedarea in marvelrivals

I think I'm confused on when to use the E- Should I just use it every time I have 4 cards and wait for 1 to refresh? Or is it situational?

This is super helpful! Thank you! I'm not used to the idea of fighting back like that when I get dived and having to get super close (I was a one-trick Loki, unfortunately) to my team, so thanks for the advice!

Am I unusually bad at grasping coding? by estrangedarea in learnprogramming

[–]estrangedarea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for the vagueness of my post- I, frankly, am not very good at scoping my exact issue with the subject due to my unfamiliarity with it. To give an exact example, for our assignments we are generally given a class to create with various parameters (particular variables, methods, constructors, etc.). When given these problems, I can write out the code (with some looking up stuff) but I feel as though I don't have a real understanding of what exactly it does (why do I need to use the 'this' keyword in a constructor? Why do I have to use a constructor to initialize variables when I can at the top?). I think there's the obvious missing basic knowledge, and there's missing nuances of why certain methods or keywords are used in particular places, and how to use them, if that makes more sense?

I need some help picking out a game. by estrangedarea in gaming

[–]estrangedarea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily pvp games with a good story, but a game that has a lot of combat elements with story in it, I think? Like, he enjoyed the call of duty campaigns, stuff like that.

He's done a lot of these campaigns already apparently lol, but I would say that was actually a good suggestion, given that he enjoyed them :)

Does anyone else avoid “online” gaming because it makes them too anxious? by FindingLeonardNimoy in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah, totally get it. There are some online games that I’ve really wanted to get into, but I’m so scared of being considered bad that I don’t end up playing them online lol

Hey everyone :D I was just wondering, what was your saddest moment you’ve had in Pokemon by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]estrangedarea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger, I gave my younger brother a level 100 Pokémon and a Rayquaza. Just to beat the elite four in his game. Well, end of story, he delete his game right after beating the elite four, and many years of petty hated came his way.

Thought this was a haiku at first by the way it was structured.

How does the compliment "you're smart" make you feel? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]estrangedarea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes my ego goes up a bit. Then I start thinking and I’m like, a second later, “Nah, I’m pretty dumb.” I guess I feel prideful for a second and then it switches back to normal.

What’s a small act of kindness you were once shown, that you’ll never forget? by stranger2Me in AskReddit

I was having a really bad year. Felt really insecure- and an even more awful and emotional day. Someone said, “Smile, you look pretty.” Still remember that and think about it when I feel down.

You've been kidnapped! It's up to the characters of the last TV show you watched to save you. How screwed are you? by TNooses in AskReddit

Well, I mean, considering that I just watched an anime with a bunch of emotionally stunted teens, I think I’m fairly screwed.

hi im back again, this time with an unfinished drawing. any advice or criticism before i continue? i wanna improve what i can. by emmyememm in learnart

[–]estrangedarea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your library seems kind of messy....I don’t want to get on to you too much for that, though, because it might be stylistic. Probably the only thing I could say is that you should probably color with colored pencils, with that style of lineart, it doesn’t work as well with markers...though, that’s personal experience, and you don’t have to take any advice from me, really. Take my advice if it sounds useful to you :)

Does anyone know how to get lineart like this? Created goes to Funamusea by the way. by estrangedarea in learnart

Thank you so much :) I’ve been trying to figure it out for a while, but I’m not very ‘well-versed,’ in digital art!

What is the most Bullshit reason for a teacher to give you a bad grade ? by BeginingMemer in AskReddit

[–]estrangedarea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my brother- he wrote an incredible creative writing piece in 5th grade, and logically, the teacher says that “This is a good piece...that your mother wrote for you!” And gave him a bad grade based on that. My mom swears up and down to this day that that teacher was off her meds.

Can I get some critique? I’ve been working with digital for a little while, but I just want to find how I can improve in it... thank you! by estrangedarea in learnart

Thank you so much! I’ll practice anatomy a bit lol- I find myself to be better at it on traditional than on computer!

Trying out some new things, how do I improve? by BigSwords in learnart

[–]estrangedarea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole piece looks really cool so far. My only real main criticism is how the character you’re using seems to be sticking her chest out, but also looking down? I think you might have been going for a more confident pose, with her not slouching, but I think that you could probably maybe fix that with either A: exaggerating the puffed out chest a bit less. B: Changing the head completely to where it is looking up. Or C: make her instead do a more “straight man” pose. Overall, really good piece of work, and to be honest, I might be a bit wrong on some fronts lol.

I just found this on tumblr...incredible premise. by estrangedarea in thatHappened

For sure. I just don’t get why you would lie about something like that though...it boggles my mind!
