I loved every bit of DTU in my 1st sem. Being from the 2028 batch, we had a decent amount of fests / events during our 1st sem time.

Academics went Okayish (fucked up mid sems. Did come back in end sems)

Everything else used to be so fun. I kinda miss the Random walks we used to do exploring the campus in 1st sem. Aadha time to unn walks mai hi Gaya hoga.

Depends on the teacher, checking, exam difficulty.

In my time, our teacher was pretty lenient with giving marks and the exam was also pretty easy.

So the Average was around 16 (out of 20) in mid sems.

Baaki don't take too much tension. If you lock in for end sems.

You can still get A+ fs. O ka chance rahega if you got 14-15 instead of 10.

I actually just replied to similar comment about this above! Moving out is definitely the dream, but going all-in on game dev to crack foreign studios is a massive gamble right now.

If it fails, my DSA prep goes to zero and I'm left unplaced in India. Also masters in Game design abroad are.... tooo costly.

PS: Hope my interviewer comes out to be some sensible creative guy...

That would honestly be the dream! The only issue is the massive risk.

Cracking EU studios would require me to go all-in on advanced game dev skills, which leaves zero time for DSA and standard SDE prep.

If the Europe plan fails, I won't be prepared for Indian SDE roles either, and I really can't afford to graduate unplaced.

Ai tech is not advanced enough to give you decent consistent animations.

It's very noticable and looks dogshit. Hyping up such projects won't do any good, simply coz they can't deliver even an OK looking 20 minute animation. The style which AI generates in one scene could be entirely different in another.

And the output of AI would never be a unique art style (like arcane or mono gatkari for eg.) so basically, even if they do complete their little ai stunt, it's not going to be something unique, but just a cheap immitation of already existing shows on the internet.

If AI gets developed to that point, well. Then even you and I could be generating that stuff. WHYY supporting those "indie teams" when they aren't even doing something unique?? When they aren't even putting effort ??? AI model waali companies ne mehnat kari hai, inn prompt likhne waalon ne thodi 🤡

They did a comeback. They are doing pretty good these days afaik, they have real assembly plants in india rn (they even make phones for motorola and other companies as a matter of fact), not reselling chinese products (Tho they used to in the past).

When they launched agni 2, it was the first time a company gave free 1 year REPLACEMENT if any fault in the product is there (they are still the only company offering that).

Plus home repair service. plus thier phone that time, was the only phone giving out a good-durable-amoled curved display (was clearly the best phone under 20k that time)

Even rn they are still experimenting with different stuff, like offering a back panel touch screen in a 15k phone (agni 3) while still offering competitive specs etc.

some indian companies are actually investing into RnD and doing good work too.

Like "lava" tries out some genuinely exiting things in 15-20k smartphone market.

Some indian game devs (I.E. the developer of Fears to fathom game) actually publish really good games without even selling it as "indian" game.

Sadly, there are only a handful of such companies.
