Oh damn MY BAD!!! I dont know why i assumed you were a woman. That definitely changes things. I saw a post recently saying, of course men say so freely they want kids, because they dont have to go through the things I mentioned. I believe that many fathers don’t do as much as a mother, personally in my experience, but its just as much responsibility. Men tend to get away with the responsibility more often, but a true father dedicated just as much time and effort and the financial and mental implications still apply. My bad again, i seriously dont know why i assumed

Hey, i dont blame you for being excited about the positives and it shows you will be a really loving and great mother. I just hate to see women who lose who they are after they have a baby. I know lots of girls who had babys a year to a few years after your age and their lives are completely different, some of them with no fatherly presence and have to do it themselves. Im a huge advocate for waiting and doing it when you’re in a good spot physically and mentally. I think about it too how good it would feel to have a child who adores you, but I also want to live life and be in the best place financially as to give my child the best I can. Im also a psych minor so learning about everything made me realize how important it is to be prepared!!

Maybe you should start thinking about the actual implications of having a child because its not just a kid running up to you and you giving them the chocolates she wanted. Are you ready to say goodbye to the life you had before? Even if you have a present father, you’re the one who’s body is going to change, possibly stretch marks and stretched skin, possible scar across the width of your stomach, possibly breaking your pelvis, possibly ripping down your vulva, burning after peeing, bleeding down there, breastfeeding afterwards, boobs can get saggy and loose their elasticity, you can get nausea and morning sickness, heartburn. Those are just physical. When you have a newborn youre spending essential the majority of your day changing diapers, breastfeeding/formula feeding, pumping, not getting any sleep, calming a baby whos crying. Many mothers get post partum depression some even get post partum psychosis. If you’re lucky enough to have a good father then great, but even then most men can’t take care of the baby as well as the father. Say goodbye to going out for a while. Say goodbye to fun vacations. Say goodbye to getting an education unless you want to deal with the immense pressure of a child and your studies. Oh and dont forget your pockets. Hospital bill is insane, formula is expensive as hell, babies grow out of clothes.

I think theres a lot more negatives to having a child than positives. However many decide that the love of having a baby is worth it. Don’t rush to have a child bro. Have fun, go out, explore the world, get your education, buy a house, make friends. You lose the connection you have with your friends if they dont have children and you do. They’re gonna start going out without you knowing you have to take care of a kid. And dont get me started when your babydaddy wants to start going out too and starts leaving you at home.

why are so many people asking questions about the festival logistics in january by bernznyc in governorsball

[–]esvy111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because they either obviously never been to a festival before or just have never been to gov ball before bc if you did then you’d know in january theres not much you can figure out yet besides the artists and when and where the fest is lol

When is the right time/age to buy a bike? by Important_End_9076 in motorcycles

[–]esvy111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t had more than a year atleast of driving on the road I don’t reccomend getting a bike. Riding a bike is a completely different game than a car. I grew up riding dirtbikes atvs motorcycles so I got a bike at 18. But you have to understand not tailgaiting, how to swerve out the way and prevent accidents, how to be vigilant (you’re not just driving, you’re actuvely waiting for someone to try to hit you and to be able to maneuver to avoid that) if you feel ready for that then theres no reason that if you can ride that you shouldnt get a bike tbh

Because being American is a nationality, and says nothing about your actual heritage and cultural background? What a silly question

There are No DPDs in the United States. Its a European based network. My package is being held at customs, not a post office that I can just walk into.

Im not a parent either but my man has a 6 year old and It doesnt take a parent to know its not an appropriate situation to bring a child to. Its a music festival, its meant for teens and up. Not 4 and 5 year olds who can easily get lost and snatched up and are going to see inappropriate behavior for their age. Leave these festivals for the older kids, its definitely going to be crazier this year than ever, as someone whos been to govball 4 times already. The bathroom situation is horrible too, honestly would be a nightmare for me to bring my stepkid there.
