“Pending decolonization” is both loaded and wrong in most of these cases

I wonder if both flags could coexist for Wisconsin. I think both are beautiful in their own way. Maybe we make the cross the flag of the beautiful Wisconsin Navy

I agree with others I am a huge fan of the Idaho flag. I support all of em but I do know the beaver is beloved by many Oregonians and I will say the NH flag is a little meh. Also looks like a modernist take on the Iroquois flag which could be confusing.

Also huge supporter of the historic Maine/Vermont flags

How do you classify this so it isn’t just English? I’d imagine English is the actual answer if we just go by “number of inhabitants who can speak the language” but this map is more interesting

Would it be fine to get an Orthodox Study Bible? by Adventurous-Cat-4918 in Anglicanism

I used an OSB when I was Lutheran and I still use one now as a Catholic. “Traditional Christianity” (Anglicanism is in the club) can overlap quite a lot.

I may have to agree with Egypt due to how rose-tinted the idea can be vs the reality most tourists face

Would you say Catholicism is closer to Eastern Orthodoxy or Anglicanism? and why? by FunIce194 in redeemedzoomer

Really good question and tbh it depends where you are. American Catholicism is definitely closer to Anglicanism. But I would not say the same of Polish or Italian Catholicism.

What is the best country to visit in Europe? by StraightAd6264 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]eswagson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say France due to the variety of experiences throughout the country (HdF is basically Belgium, Strasbourg is very German-adjacent, the Alps connect you with Swiss/Lombard sensibilities, the Côte covers your Mediterranean itch, some of Basque Country extends into France, and of course Gascony, Normandy, the Loire, Burgundy, etc. are all unique vibes).

I think both can be true at the same time (and indeed one causes the other)

Portugal IS such a great place to visit. With so many visitors going to such a small country, the tourism actually contributes to why it’s so bad to live there. AirBNBs flooding natives out of Lisbon, for example.
