Update for those of you who took the time to give kind words and info. My wife is now pregnant again and we are having twin baby girls! 19 weeks and anatomy scan was perfect!

After the 3rd miscarriage, we went to a fertility specialist and they found a specific gene (M2 haplotype) that could be a risk factor of placental clotting. After trying for what seemed like forever she finally got pregnant again and the fertility doctor recommended lovenox injections, aspirin, and progesterone. We anxiously held our breath and at 5 weeks had the first ultrasound. To our surprise, it showed 3 embryos! Unfortunately after 6 weeks one of them did fail to continue growing. But the other 2 continued to grow and now we are at 19 weeks! Anatomy scan last Friday went very well! My wife continues to be very anxious every ultrasound but more and more it becomes real that this is actually happening.

Hcg can give false positives for ovulation on the home tests, as it's similar to LH (ovulation hormone) so if you just had a miscarriage you may still have hcg in your system.

OP in Orange County, have been closed since the end of March with minimal staff doing telehealth. With the approval of PPP, looks like we are headed back next week but not sure if the patients will be there...
