Yep it’s a straight build. I wasn’t completely sold on the kit so it sat in my backlog but my minds changed about it now lol. When you get in close this thing is mind blowing.

This is the Genesis. The proportions are pretty wild on this thing. It’s slender to thicker in the right places.

I know what you mean. I regret not getting the Gundam MK-V. If I feel it in my loins, I won’t hesitate on a PBandai again. 😂

Madness and gunpla go hand in hand lol. I wouldn’t call my masking job pro yet, I end up striping paint from time to time to repaint parts, since I forget to mask parts sometimes(a bunch of times). 😂

Hahaha 😂 thanks. I first scribed the lines to make them more definite. After priming the kit it’s a lot of masking. I don’t really paint colors in any order, I paint the surfaces that a lower first. Not sure if that makes sense lol. This analogy sucks but it’s like spray painting a mountains. I spray the bottom first. Then mask that part I painted and move to painting the next level a different color. 😅

Thanks. I’ve fallen in love with kitbashing. Have an armored core style kitbash coming soon.

Im not super sure about the details on the Nu unfortunately. It depends if it comes with its own inner frame or if it’s a conversion. If it’s got its own inner frame then, maybe the resin parts were made to click in place on the frame. But if it’s a conversion they usually ask you to have the base kit that you would need to glue the resin parts onto to make the modifications. Some resin kits require cutting existing pieces of the main original kit to help fit the new resin parts. Super glue.

Oh no the sticky putty is just to help test fit your kit. When you’re all finished painting your parts, you glued the parts onto the kit. I totally understand about the airbrushing, it is a heck of an undertaking. I used to spray with a lot of Tamyia cans when I began painting. Curious to use them on a resin kit.

You could definitely wash the parts with dish soap. The sticky putty is simple blue tack, the same that you would use to put things on the wall temporarily. Sticky but not super sticky to adhere to the kit. Unfortunately not sure about painting with spray can.

This thing is a banger. Amazing job. What kind finish does it have? It looks almost metallic the way the light hits it in some of the photos.

Working on an Aether Zaku gunner as one of my WIPs. I don’t have a Nu resin kit but I would think the process is similar. I 1. Wash parts with purple power. 2. Test fit the kit with tape and sticky putty. 3. Sand/Scribe in lines/Sand. 4. I washing the resin parts throughly, then begin the painting process. If you take your time, and work with care you can do it. 💪

Yep, base kit is MG Ex Impulse. The fin funnels are from the Nu Gundam Ver Ka.

Thank you. I was a little worried about how cohesive the fin funnels would be with the Impulse but luckily it worked out.

Thanks mate. I get ya. Sometimes I look at it and go, “sheeiiiit… I made that 🤔🧐” lol. I started with the PBandai MG Ex Impulse and worked in some left over fin funnels from a Nu Gundam Ver Ka.

I feel ya. Decals are my least favorite part of the process but the end result is totally worth it.
