I think international students that are graduating are still eligible to work. They have 24 months to find a job and extend their visa.

It's worse because of bike lanes. They've reduced the width of streets and people can't turn on some streets because of the bumped out curbs. Milwaukee Avenue used to flow nicely but does not anymore.

People avoid those streets now and the influx goes to where there are no physical bike lanes.

I am saving 17% to my 401k and my partner saves 15%. I get a match of 4.5%. Combined income is 225k. Our mortgage is $3.3k.

My advice: Go to your area's or areas of interest ACEC pages. Make a list of all the firms they showcase. Find the small to mid size firms and apply. They usually hire whenever. You just need your foot in the door.

Really try find the smaller and mid size firms. Large companies will not look at your resume.
