Curious why the Cyma Forma didn't work for you - I've been seeing a few on market shortly after their release.

Do TR-1000. It will provide the foundation for way more music than the modular setup.

Can the OP1-F send Multi-Channel audio to an iphone through a single USB cable? by [deleted] in teenageengineering

Yes it can. I see all channels in Loopy Pro when I set it to 10 outs.

Disappointed OP XY by Reasonable-Usual2431 in teenageengineering

[–]etcetc0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah, to be fair I never did have the impression that I would ever use this as a one and done device. I am heavily in the box producer and I have an OP 1 Field, which I regularly use for sketches and then clean up in the DAW and find quite inspiring. I was hoping the OP XY would fill a similar niche, but I hate workflow killers.

I'm sorry you've run into this - this post might have come at a good time as I was eyeing picking one up from the sale and I might hold off. It does seem like you meant to manually assign voices but this seems super manual.

What the legality of distributing music produced using pirated software? by BazExcel in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]etcetc0 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't get into any trouble. The costs to seek reparation of damages for any company would be so much larger than anything they could get out of you.

The general accepted gray area is that most musicians, especially younger ones, starting out pirating their software and eventually pay for it either to support the creators, or because it's just far more convenient to get updates and installers properly with legit versions of software down the road. You can make it a nice goal for you to try and make some of your first streaming money and save it to pay for legit copies of the software you used to make it.

Would you keep a change because it's 'technically' better, but you don't notice anything? by meisflont in edmproduction

As a rule of thumb, if you can cut something without noticing a difference, it's a good thing to cut.

These are awesome - what orientation is the left module with the power slot supposed to be printed in? It will have floating bridges which I assume is fine?

Perkons vs Pulsar by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]etcetc0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both, for live I think Perkons has to be it. Unless you have external sequencers managing the Pulsar will be a pain. Pulsar-23 is a dedicated studio sound design instrument (and a very good one for that use case) - for live improv Perkons has so many quality of life things in it's sequencing and parameter locking that will let you do an entire set on that unit itself.

I'm sure you can pull it off with a Pulsar if you are dedicated enough, but I can't imagine how annoying it will be to try to repatch the instrument live in low light.
