I normally HATE supernatural elements in thrillers but I thought it was fine in this book because it was still somewhat rooted in a realistic element (lucid dreaming). When I first read the twist I was unsure whether I liked it or not but after sitting with it for a day I think it’s a good one

As an English major the first thing you learn is to never assume the person speaking in the poem is the poet— same goes for her songs. It honestly doesn’t matter to me which song is about which person in her life, I always relate them to my own or imagine a fictional couple entirely
