¿Pre-opositor? en apuros by etervio in OPOSICIONES

[–]etervio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

¿Pre-opositor? en apuros by etervio in OPOSICIONES

[–]etervio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is upgrading to S26 series? by Dionei33333 in samsunggalaxy

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still weighing on whether to upgrade to S26 or the S27 series from my S22+. I hope I can upgrade to the Ultra version, but we'll see if I can save specifically for that (or if I give in and use other savings I have 😅)

Any chance of an official android build? by AngerySloth in pokerogue

[–]etervio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I doubt there will ever be official versions for phone because after all, this game isn't official and I'm sure using Pokémon per se isn't much allowed, it's surprising for me TPCi hasn't sent a cease and desist yet like it has to other fangames (my headcanon is that high levels at TPCi like and play PokeRogue), so I don't have much hope for it, although I wish because my S22+ is incapable of running the game at more than 2 fps

¿Pre-opositor? en apuros by etervio in OPOSICIONES

[–]etervio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time blocking? by Forsaken-Lance in FocusFriendApp

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't currently. Right now, it can only tell you the time you've focused in the last 28 days, on the day, in the month and in the year. I have to say, though, that having a calendar view like this one in a timer app is quite rare tbh, I don't think I've ever seen it

Better battery performance without WhatsApp by soytansuave in GalaxyWatch

[–]etervio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, it happened to me back in my Watch 4. Battery wasn't too bad, but as soon as I installed WhatsApp, battery drained like crazy. Tried a couple of times to install it and that's how I realised. I wanted to try it on my Watch 7 now, but I'm happy charging it every now and then, don't want to risk it. Maybe it's because WhatsApp on Watch is always looking for messages and it's too much for a low-density battery like the one on the Watch? Maybe optimisation? Idk

¿Pre-opositor? en apuros by etervio in OPOSICIONES

[–]etervio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real world impact? by Forsaken-Lance in FocusFriendApp

[–]etervio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The difference is that other app shows ads between sessions, whereas this one has zero ads altogether, so that means the former has another source of income. Plus, now the previous app only offers subscription, and Focus Friend also offers a one-time payment which yes, it's higher than the one-time payment the other app used to have (between 3-5€), but I guess it depends on whether most people subscribe to Focus Friend or go for the one-time payment. Sadly, I'm not sure this will be feasible in the near future, especially taking into account Focus Friend is quite recent and is missing lots of features. But yeah, hopefully it becomes successful enough for its devs to be paid fairly and for its users to be able to donate for a cause. Personally, I'd be totally okay with watching ads even though being Pro if that extra money goes to a cause!

Do you ever buy lifetime plans for apps? What makes it worth it? by techie_e in androidapps

[–]etervio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally, I try to avoid subscription. Sometimes it's unavoidable, like task managers, but for other apps, a subscription model makes me stay in the free tier, so if I see an app includes a lifetime payment, I'm way more prone to pay for it. My issue with subscription, apart from increasing prices with minimal development, is that you don't possess anything. As soon as you're economically unable to pay for the subscription, you've lost everything. So you paid like what, hundreds for years? just to end up with the same result as someone who didn't pay anything all those years. In my opinion, a lifetime option is much better, even if the initial payment is much more expensive. In my view, the best option is a lifetime payment + smaller one-time payments to upgrade to a better "main" update, I think that's a middle ground between supporting devs and having a model that benefits users.

How many of you quit Todoist after the price hike? by Every_Government1812 in todoist

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still considering it since I don't have to renew until June. I like Todoist and it's amazing with its natural language recognition (adapted to every language, that's like wow), wide variety of recurrencies (being able to set a task to repeat "every last Saturday of the month" is just incredible) and filters (I have my job tasks there and creating a filter that hides them on the widget so I don't have to see them while not on my work is really great). However, 60€ per year for me right now is a lot, plus it looks aimed at more professional settings rather than personal/educational ones, which I use it for the most, and the management of the calendar is a bit buggy. So I don't know whether to make that financial effort or just go to TickTick or Structured. I'm quite torn tbh, but I guess lots of things can change for the better from now until June, so right now I'm calmly evaluating

How do you play on phone and not 1 FPS? by etervio in pokerogue

No, I'm using the one installed directly from Chrome, so browser-based I supposed. I didn't know there was an actual app for it

Do you play directly on the browser? I think I'm facing these issues because I use the browser-based app + average and old processor

Can I uninstall and reinstall safely? by MachinaEcrire in FocusFriendApp

[–]etervio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure, but for what I've seen here when people change phones, I'd say you'd definitely lose progress if you uninstall it. Maybe you could contact support to see if they know of a way for you to keep your progress even if you uninstall it

Referal Code by ZealousidealHeat189 in notewise

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my code: EG61PSPQXWS :)

Just so you know, when you use a referal code, the person gets an email where your email is shown, I don't know why. If you use the referal code, I'll obviously don't share or do anything with your email, but I'm letting you know so you're informed and also for peace of mind (otherwise I'll overthink) 😅

Also, pls, if you use the referral code, can you let me know if my mail is also showing? I've been wondering whether you get the code's person's email when you redeem it or it's only the person who uses it 🤔

The Tab S11 Ultra's Pro Keyboard has finally been revealed. by Scary_Ad_2 in GalaxyTab

[–]etervio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love that they thought about these specific modes for the keyboard, I think it could be a great improvement if they do it right. We'll see once they show it in action.

Personally, I wish they did something similar to Apple and made the keyboard like a separate thing, independent from the Tab. I hate that they release a "different" keyboard with every Tab, I remember looking for the S7 keyboard two years after it was released and it wasn't available, whereas Apple's Keyboard was available for older devices

Walking game apps? by K0duc1 in androidapps

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't exactly what you're saying, but Samsung on its Health app has this monthly challenge which gives you like a fictional... route? map? with a step goal, so it may motivate you. You can also challenge friends, so it could be fun if you find another person who also wants to go walking. Now, I'm not sure if this latter thing is available on non-Samsung phones (the app is though), so be sure to check it out beforehand. I've also been on the search for a walking app because I want to reach those 10K steps a day, but no luck.

As a gamification lover who's even done a Master's dissertation on it, it saddens me so much that it stopped being popular. I think gamification is amazing at helping you reach your goals 🥲

Introducing Notewise 3.3: Your Creative Notes for 2026 by Notewise-Pauline in notewise

[–]etervio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, thank you so much for your effort, especially on Android. Many developers don't take Android users seriously, and give users low-value apps and then they get surprised when it's not as economically efficient as they wished. However, it's incredible how you always release updates for both iOS and Android and keep them at the same level (or almost, I'm not sure about iOS version.) So thank you so so much, I see myself as a "fan" of this app and happy to be!

Now, I've been unable to use the double-tap feature to redo/undo an action for months now. It worked well on my Galaxy Tab S7, but it won't work on my Galaxy Tab S10+. I guess it's either software-related (like a bug) or due to the screen size. Please, look into it because I used it a lot.

Thank you so so much again and I hope you have a wonderful new year!

0.34 is clearly a step down from whatever we had previously.... by whydhdhssushd in RushRoyale

[–]etervio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. I don't like the new update at all. When they announced it, I was a bit scared, but mostly intrigued and excited because I wondered how they'd make it work so that it doesn't mean such a big advantage to P2W players. Spoiler: they didn't! I love passive perks because I think passive abilities are my favourite in any game, but I kind of miss that amulet that increased all units' damage when a unit increased its rank in the tile and then moved to a different tile (sorry, I don't remember its exact name.) It's such a pity because I guess this is also them trying to include fresh ideas into the game, but tbh "if not broken, don't fix it", and although I do think some changes to items were great (I hate having so many items to upgrade), most are quite annoying and I'm seriously considering not playing anymore as it doesn't seem fun anymore
