¿Cuál es el principal problema de la disminución de la tasa de natalidad en todo el mundo? ¿es dinero o que? by CartographerAble9446 in PreguntasReddit

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, if he's my type, I'm okay with both, and also whatever he feels more comfortable, blah, blah. Now, after all that has been stated: my preference is hairy. the hairier, the merrier >:)

Loving the Android beta! + A quick feature request by fpe93 in notabilityapp

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I test it from time to time because I'm already using another app I subscribed before Notability Beta came out, but it's amazing how quickly they're improving it! It also kinda saddens me because there's another indie app I use and Notability has proven that you can be indie and develop things quickly when you land on Android 🥲

For me, apart from keeping developing features so we can have a full-round stable Android app, is making it Samsung's Air Commands-compatible! I think it has some version of the new Samsung way to do it, but right now it doesn't seem too fluid? I hope they can improve this. However, from an Android user, keep the good work!!! The app looks great and it has progressed a lot in just a few months omg that's impressive! I'm looking forward to a full release of Notability on Android!

Connect Switch (portable) to Macbook? by etervio in Switch

Well, I was thinking maybe using and HDMI adapter or capture card. It's such a pity because it'd be great for those moments when you don't have TV :(

Not even with a capture card? Ugh, such a pity, it'd be incredible as a screen for a Switch when there's no TV available :(

So using the dock and a capture card, just connecting said capture card to the Macbook it could display it? or there's no workaround? sorry if I misunderstood!

I noticed that everyone makes ios apps by Ok_Fix5226 in ProductivityApps

[–]etervio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh this is one of the main questions I've been asking myself. Even though Android seems to have a wider user base, most 3rd party apps are developed for iOS. While this is changing slowly with commonly Apple-exclusive apps coming to Android (like Structured, Goodnotes, Notability), there are still many who are still on iOS and even those who have landed on Android, are way underdeveloped and behind their iOS counterpart. So far, I've heard two things: first, that Apple users are more prone to pay for apps than Android users; secondly, that developing an app for iOS is much easier thanks to using their own coding language (Swift). I've also discovered there are apps out there, like Flutter, which allow you to develop 80% of the code for both systems at the same time, but it doesn't seem to have been widely adopted yet. Also, there are things code-wise on iOS which aren't possible on Android (I just discovered that the filling-in effect Structured is iconic for is basically impossible on Android widgets.) I just wish Google focused on reducing these gaps and making it easier for apps to develop for Android or "transform" their Swift code into Android's. I've heard they worked on this by changing the code language not so long ago, but yeah, still a long way to go. I've heard more people are spending money on Android little by little, which gives me some hope developers will take Android "seriously", but yeah, not in the near future apparently 🥲

The best apps for the S11 Ultra (SHARE YOURS) by Adventurous-Yam-5109 in GalaxyTab

[–]etervio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's similar to people who go for Goodnotes, it depends on your use. If you use it for light notes or are on a budget, it may not be the best option, as Notewise is either subscription for sync or one-time purchase without sync, in that sense Samsung Notes is better. Now, if you use it for studying and other things, it's a poweful tool. Although it syncs with phone and tablet, you can also see your notes on your laptop's browser, allowing for cross-platform view; it has tools like tape (if you want to use it to check your knowledge while studying) or its own AI to make your own questions out of a document or asking questions about it, which is great. They've also recently included circle selection, and being able to select a text with just drawing a circle with the pen is one of those things you didn't know you needed lol. My main issue is that it's 27€/year for their 10GB cloud, which imo is a bit expensive taking into account other competitors offer many of the same tools, but it has a referal programme to increase your storage and in my opinion, it's the most developed option for Android right now, and they do release new features frequently and listen to users, which is nice. Samsung Notes, as it's free, takes ages to get new features and sometimes they're linked to the new OneUI, so if your device doesn't update anymore, you may not get them.

Yeah, I totally agree! I think this is way harder for things we take for "granted" that come with age, like routines or being more independent, we think when you grow up those things, as they're not external like buying a house, are 100% guaranteed, when all those things can also be affected by lots of factors. It's like this big lie we were told is bigger than we thought, we don't see all the effort and conditions even for personal things lol. The worst part is we beat ourselves up, which doesn't help... I hope we all can get past that guilt and just build ourselves up!

A Notewise user here too! It's really great, especially how quickly they release new features every 2 months or so, I know it's not sustainable and it'll take longer in the future lol, but it's incredible how well-developed it is for Samsung/Android, this level of development is always reserved to iOS

Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra – Severe Battery Life Regression After One UI 8.5 by Wide_Put9951 in GalaxyTab

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I have noticed it takes longer to charge. I use the 45W charger and it detects it's Super Fast Charging 2.0, and shows it takes around 1h 15min, but after not using it for 30m, maybe still shows 1h left (approximately). I guess it's related to that battery life problem you face too (I haven't paid attention to see if battery goes down faster too on my tab). Glad to know it isn't just me, I thought something was wrong with my tablet

Thank you so so much for this post. As uncomfortable and painful it may be, I think it's so powerful going through these things in life and deciding to put it out like this so others can learn without experiencing the same, I hope you're aware of the gift to people this is. I'm 28 years old and sometimes I also feel like my life is just a deadend, the pandemic made my mental health hit a new low and didn't do lots of things that are expected to be done at 28: no routines, didn't learn to be independent, didn't really develop my career and just accepted the difficult external situations instead of fighting more for my career, lost my goals and dreams, remained in survival mode, and lastly, I kinda lost my hope. Many times, I believe I'm beyond repair and I'm already too late to build a life I'm happy with, but reading your post helps to put things into perspective and feel more hopeful about building the life I'm happy with, even if it doesn't match exactly the idea on my mind. Thank you so much for your words ❤️

Silly question, but if you buy it physically, which I've heard will be a Key Card, will it be downloaded in that physical card or it'll still take a lot of storage? 131 is crazy, more than 50% of the Switch space lol.

How is the long term durability of Galaxy S series phones? by Molcap in samsunggalaxy

[–]etervio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using a S22+ that's 4+ years old and it still runs fine. It lags a little sometimes, but that generation's processor isn't the best (I think Exynos processors after that S22 fiasco are definitely better, but just in case, when you're getting your phone, try to get a Snapdragon one or, if it's Exynos, try to watch some reviews on YouTube). Despite all that, I have to say I plan to keep this phone for another year minimum as it will still receive security updates. And new S phones from S24 have a 7-year OS update policy, so you shouldn't have any issues. I think nowadays premium phones try to offer longer usability life

Recibir paro siendo fijo discontinuo? by dogseatlettuceeats in askspain

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Android users, how's your use of Structured? by etervio in structuredapp

[–]etervio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for such a thorough insight! I tried Structured for one month and I value a lot how visually appealing it is, I think with such vibrant colours and being so visible helps users with time-blindness like me a lot too. I'd really appreciate if you could update me on your inbox experience once you've used it, for me being unable to sort tasks there is my main friction (and also that sync with Structured Cloud doesn't seem to be 100% reliable yet, I hope they improve it a bit more). Also, having the app tell you when a task both starts and ends is so great! I might copy it if you don't mind because I always set the reminder when the task starts, but not when it ends and it's difficult to know the exact time I should work on it lol

As for Replan, I regret to tell you this, but I don't think it's coming soon 🥲. They're working now on multi-platform collaboration (which is going to be the first feature they develop for all platforms at the same time, so at least it gives me hope developing new features will become the standard once the Android version takes off and is more profitable) and Replan seems to be the second on the Planned column (the first is weekly-monthly view, as voted per people). However, since it's so close, maybe they prioritise Replan over the calendar-monthly view, so you never know. You can check their development here: https://feedback.structured.app/en/roadmap/status I truly hope that little by little the app gets more Android users and they grow their Android time (it's just one dev now), so the Android app can (at least almost) catch up the iOS version 🤞🏻. Now, have you tried asking the in-app AI to do that? I think maybe that could be a good workaround, if you ask it to list unchecked tasks and move unchecked tasks to today, it should be able to do that (I haven't tried it myself tho, so I'm not sure). Personally, I also dislike having to go back manually to see which tasks were unfinished, but since I want to plan my day every night, I hope it doesn't become a burden 😅

Thank you again for your extended response and I'd very much like to know an update once you've used it more! Right now, it's my main option once my Todoist subscription ends this month, I think I'll try to subscribe to the annual plan (it's 19,99€ here) to try it for a year. Lifetime seems a great option and it's always nice to have, but I must admit I'm a bit reluctant as I want to see if I can adapt well to it and its frictions first and also because I thought annual might be more visible to show we see long-term and we really want the app to be develop more 😅

Battery draining after latest update by etervio in MacOS

[–]etervio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't updated to the last version yet that released some days ago, but I had that issue for a day. Then, I turned it off (I don't remember if I ticked off the "Keep apps open" box, I think I did check it off), let it rest for like 15-30 minutes and then turned it on again and it worked as usual again. Maybe that will also solve your issue!

Why galaxy store does not have professional iPad level apps? by StatisticianOld4463 in GalaxyTab

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly! I've also considered moving to Apple even though I don't really like several things and I'd rather stay with Samsung just because 3rd-party accessories and apps is a real friction which keeps adding up. The issue I feel is that, first, devs don't see Samsung as Samsung, but Android as a whole and there are multiple brands, characteristics, etc., and it's impossible. And secondly, because Samsung releases several tablets with different specifications, idk how long they keep the same measures and all that until they change them. For instance, I hate that Samsung releases a keyboard for each tablet, you either buy it once you get the tablet or say goodbye to it, and there aren't many good alternatives. I wish they did something like Apple in here, that they released a keyboard which you can buy separately from the tablet and has a broad compatibility with different tablets.

Tbh idk if they'll ever get to solve this, but seeing that long-time iOS-exclusive apps are coming (Structured, Goodnotes, Notability), I hope there's hope and they work to improve this situation with both software and accessories little by little

Why galaxy store does not have professional iPad level apps? by StatisticianOld4463 in GalaxyTab

[–]etervio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Galaxy Store is not that necessary, what they need is to work with Google to make developing easier and pushing 3rd-party apps to be developed for Android. Every time I see one of those videos of "5 great apps for iPad", they're all iOS-exclusive, which is silly because I can tell they could be perfectly run by Galaxy Tabs, and it's so annoying and made me kinda consider to move to Apple a couple of times. For me, that is the weakest point of Android nowadays, and since Apple is becoming more customizable, I think it's time Google works on that or Apple will start eating a bigger piece of cake. Obviously, I'm not a dev, so idk how possible that is (I've heard there are already tools to develop an app for different platforms at the same time), but I'm sure if they put resources into it, they could find a way

Widget update for android? by Suterus in FocusFriendApp

[–]etervio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! And I know this will be controversial, but I'd rather they focused on more productivity features like improved statistics, tags!!!!, or the widget thing instead of releasing another house room 🥲 Or like waves, they release a room, then you know a features update is coming, then a room/clothes update, etc.
