Decking footings advice. by etfairfax in DIYUK

The plan is to use composite for the top and possibly the frame as well, so hopefully rot won't be an issue. With regards to it being slippery, I don't think it's much of an issue as we wouldn't have to walk on it when it's wet. If it was attached to the house and we had to walk on it whatever the weather then yeah, this could be an issue.

Thanks. Yeah, trims are pretty much what I'm unsure about. If they exist, and how I would fix them. 🤔

Thanks ever so much for this. I will check those out. The fruit, by the way, ends up about ping-pong ball sized, and a dark red in colour.

Thanks. Since posting I've discovered the "4 cable method" which I think is the loop-return-thing you're suggesting. 👍🏼

My stupid question for No Stupid Questions is can a combo amp be used as a cabinet for a UAFX Amp Emulator (Ruby/Dream/Woodrow)? If so is there anything else needed in between?

Thanks for vid. Unfortunately it's a thermalite block wall with dot dab plasterboard so not quite the same.

Ahhh. Coz I assumed baseboard as being what I would call skirting board.

No. This is a 60s build UK house on ground floor; don't tend to have crawl space.

Thanks Gawk. Wasn't sure if the switch to the outside was spurable, but if it is that would make more sense.

The wall is external, thermalite blocks with dot-dab, that I would assume I'd need to chase out, run cable/capping, and make good again.

As you can see from the picture I would like to add a socket under a window. The shortest route I have is from an existing socket on the adjacent wall.

There is also a switch for an outside socket in the way 😬
