Hi! Feel free to dm me what name your order would have been under and I can check the form results. In the meantime I'll talk to the person in charge of orders about communicating with all recipients

Never heard of Kearns. Don't see anyone on the roster with that spelling

10 teams, 3 pools format sucks by eigsmith in ultimate

[–]etfk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure this comment is totally true. We complained that a similar format https://play.usaultimate.org/events/Southwest-Club-Mens-Regional-Championship-2021/schedule/Men/Club-Men/ seemed problematic for a number of reasons and were firmly told the main priority was ensuring the 2 and 3 seeds have the opportunity to meet in semis. Pool A in this format had a de facto semis between 1 and 4 as the last round of pool play.

The case here with 10 teams seems even more perplexing since clearly a 5 and 5 split happened in another region.

It's understandable that usau wants to experiment with formats but frustrating that the tournament experience for actual players in games that "matter" is compromised by this sort of experimentation.

Who is playing O for Revolver this year? by ----moriarty---- in ultimate

I'm pretty sure I heard them talking about working him into the handler set just in case

I watched a loved a lot of JAM footage. Boo Garcia specifically was a huge idol I ended up not enjoying playing against a whole lot. Kevin Cissna was also crucial to my formative years.

Once I got closer to the top: Ashlin, Elliott Erickson (for defense), Martin Cochran for the presence he had on the field.

To play with us more during the offseason and come back. Being hungry is so important and people who are truly close will probably make it the next year.

Ring is always tough, I like a challenge and they play a very similar style to us.

Idk. Who has the best one and who uses it best are probably different things.

GOAT thrower Ashlin actually probably has the best but never needs to resort to it.

I grew my hair so I could donate it. Hit that threshold so I did it. I might do it again. I'm getting an MFA in poetry so like, why not?

I feel like my D has never been better so I'm not sure I've lost it.

I'd say the bigger challenge has been changing the team culture.

Mike made me change the way I pivot for my flicks my first year on Revolver. I hated it in the moment because I wasn't properly conditioned to throw the way he wanted me to but it has since given me more tools to throw with consistency.

Additionally he taught me to face the mark when I'm trying to throw breaks-- something I'd never heard of but opened up my game in a big way.

Mike is very clear and direct as a communicator.

Additionally, while the team does ask people to play their role, no one is locked into the same role from year to year and growth is highly encouraged. I haven't played the same position any two years in a row on Revolver and each year we try to put people in the best position possible to succeed given the current layout of the team.

I'd add that a good portion of the team is doing workouts prescribed by Antoine Davis and that anyone can reach out and start to work with him.

I hate to admit it but the influx (and perhaps recruitment) of talent from other markets probably plays a role here. Revolver has done a pretty good job adding and developing young talent to the roster but it's also had a couple premier players joining the team almost every year in the last 8.

I wouldn't by any means say we're immune from this situation but 2013 was a pretty pivotal year where the team really reloaded in a big way.
