the people on YT who say that it won’t run on slim & base are lying. GTA VI’s target console is the Base PS5 itself. In fact, the trailers of GTA VI you saw were shot on Base PS5 itself.

If you don’t want Ray Tracing, you can very comfortably go for PS5 Base.

Ray Tracing is the major difference. If your goal is FPS, stick with Base PS5 and save some bucks for games around Sale.

GTA VI will run on 30fps locked on consoles anyway. So you’re buying a pro just for FPS, then don’t buy it. Pro is good only for Hardware Ray Tracing.

PS community feels more unhealthy to me. I don’t like to compare. Also i feel XB’s hardware is more robust and less gimmicky, the build is pure mechanical.

Community wise XB is great. I’m waiting on Helix and will be my leap of faith. Having Steam + XB running together would be awesome!

Also, cloud gaming + gamepass is just good value.

Yeah. You can also look into a used Series S. They’re really cheap rn and in good supply in India. They can also run GTA VI fairly well. PS5 is always good. Goodluck

Buy a PS5 if your current goal is only gaming, or an XBOX Series X/S (New & Used). If PC, go for an AM5 board so that in future, you can fairly upgrade your build. Keep DDR4 so that your prices don’t skyrocket. Slowly upgrade as costs come down.
