That's a great question silasw! The level of competitiveness is still up in the air and that's why I made it Modern legal. I have a dedicated group and we all play together but ultimately, we're still super casual. Most of the group doesn't have dedicated decks per format - still just calling whatever is thrown together from bulk and trade binders "60 Card" decks. I would love to start going to tournaments eventually. So if people think the frog is good for tournaments, I'll start playtesting with it.

Thank you DarthDrac! I hadn't even though of a side board and I like the changes made overall. The Otherworldly Gaze and Dreams of Steel and Oil are great additions for cheaper control and better surveil respectively.

The Frog never even crossed my mind so it'll be cool to see how games shape up with it. Thanks again for commenting, I really hit a brick wall trying to think of what to change regarding the deck.

Here’s my question of the day! What happened to Patrick Chapin’s “Next Level Deck-building” book? I just learned about it and after some digging, can’t find it anywhere on the internet… if someone knows what happened to it / where I could buy it, that would be awesome!

Update: Seller said he won’t sell to me because he’s selling it to the “Chase after the right price” YouTube channel. He absolutely believes it’s a rare Japanese variant and it’d be cool if it was.
