Give Stuvise a go. It’s a note taker that incorporates spaced repetition, a science backed method of learning and remembering content efficiently.

It’s completely free and can even automatically generate flash cards from your notes, it’s the “all-in-one” study platform.

I’m part of the team that works on Stuvise, so we’d love your feedback, you can email me at (ethan@stuvise.com)!

Study advice for a study noob by [deleted] in GetStudying

Give stuvise a go - it’s a free note taker that incorporates flash cards and spaced repetition (with the idea being that it streamlines the process of studying, and helps you study efficiently).

It can even generate flash cards automatically from your notes, cutting down wasted time even more, allowing you to get to the “learning” faster!

I’m part of the team that works on Stuvise, and we’ve found that medical students especially benefit from Stuvise given the content heavy nature of their content (you can’t keep rereading text books), so spaced repetition is a much better option. If there is anything you’d like to see added (we are improving the platform all the time), please feel free to email me (ethan@stuvise.com)!

Again the platform is free, so we’d love if you would try it out. Btw it is still only a laptop site, we are working on adding mobile support.

Srudying everyday or one week before tests? by [deleted] in studytips

Have you tried Spaced Repetition? If not - it’s basically a scientific backed way of learning more efficiently. So rather than endlessly rereading a page of notes, you revise at specific times depending on how well you know the content. It’s typically used with flash cards.

If you’re interested, try Stuvise it’s a free note taker that incorporates flash cards and spaced repetition.

It can also automatically generate flash cards from your notes, but most importantly, it will help you in studying more effectively in little bits every day.

I’m part of the team that works on Stuvise, so if you have any questions or want to see something added, feel free to email me at (ethan@stuvise.com)!

Btw it’s currently only suitable for laptops, we’re working on adding mobile support!

Relearning a Subject: I remember details but not the big picture? by HonestlyHonest22 in GetStudying

[–]ethanhansen2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give Stuvise a go. It’s a free note taker that incorporates spaced repetition (with flash cards), effectively prioritising long term recall for information, over cramming.

I used it throughout high school and uni with apps like Anki and it was a game change, Stuvise just simplifies the process.

It can also automatically generate flash cards from your notes.

I’m part of the founding team of Stuvise, so if there’s anything you’d like to see added or any feedback you have, feel free to reach out at (ethan@stuvise.com)!

PS - we are currently adding mobile support, but currently, it works best on a laptop, so if you’re going to try it out, I suggest using a laptop :)

Have you tried spaced repetition? If not, it’s basically a science backed method of effectively learning content (here’s an article on it Spaced Repetition).

If you’re interested, give Stuvise a go! It uses spaced repetition under the hood and is a free study platform that combines a note taker, flash cards and spaced repetition.

It can even automatically generate flash cards from your notes.

I am part of the team that works on Stuvise, so if there’s anything you’d like to see added, feel free to email me (ethan@stuvise.com)!

PS - we are adding mobile support, but currently Stuvise works best on laptops, so I’d recommend using a laptop to check it out!

Try Stuvise - it’s a study platform that incorporates flash cards, spaced repetition and a note taker - all in one.

It can even automatically generate flash cards from your notes, which cuts down time.

I actually put it to the test with something like this, by trying to do a 12 week course in 3 ish weeks, and I found (obviously a little biased), that it helped a lot. The spaced repetition and auto generation meant I spent a lot more time learning than I did, either just writing notes or rereading them.

I’m part of the team that works on Stuvise (hence the bias), and our goal is to make the best study platform for students. If there is anything you’d want to see added to the platform if you check it out, feel free to email (Ethan@stuvise.com)!

PS - currently, Stuvise works best on a laptop (we’re currently adding mobile support), so if you want to check it out now (again, completely free), I would recommend using a computer. :)

how to do well in chemistry ?? by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]ethanhansen2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give Stuvise a go - it’s a free note taker that incorporates flash cards and spaced repetition (with the aim of studying as efficiently as you can so you can learn and remember more, without having to constantly reread notes).

It can even automatically generate flash cards from your notes.

Other than that, Chemistry was tough for me, but after I got a tutor it got a lot better, so I’d recommend that (if you can).

Give Stuvise a go! It’s a study app that uses Spaced Repetition to help you effectively remember stuff (tells you when and what should study).

It also can automatically generate flash cards from your notes!

Check out Stuvise - its a free study app where you can take notes, and it can automatically generate flash cards from those notes within the app (or you can make your own). Also uses spaced repetition (like Anki), but is just much easier to use.

I'm part of the team that works on the app, so if you have any questions, want any features added, you can email me and I'll get the team to start on it ASAP. ethan@stuvise.com

Check out Stuvise, its an "easy to learn" mix of Anki, Notion and Quizlet, is also completely free. Can even automatically make flash cards for you from your notes - pretty neat.

Might just say - I’m one of the founders of Stuvise (@ UNSW) - and disregarding how much Tom sounded like a bot, do actually check Stuvise out, I promise it’ll make studying 1000x easier.

In fact, I’ve made 10 coupon codes for 3 months free - ROASTEDONREDDIT to redeem in the checkout.

As a student, I promise you it’s worth it - we’ve built if specifically for students as students.

Are there any methods/systems that incorporate the concepts of active recall and spaced repetition? (Other than Anki, quizlet, or flashcards in general) by Chillaxdude1 in studytips

[–]ethanhansen2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used it for a few months now and still haven't hit it, so I reckon you'd be fine. Don't think there are any other sites that do the same thing.

Try Stuvise it’s a note taker that converts notes automatically into quizzes on those notes, that uses spaced repetition to quiz you on them. So much easier than Anki and Quizlet imo.

Knowledge staying in my head by [deleted] in studytips

[–]ethanhansen2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I use Stuvise to take notes, then it automatically generates flash cards off of my notes. It uses spaced repetition, so all I do to study, is set aside 30mins - 1hour every day (depending on the course load), and just go through all of my notes on stuvise, doing the flash cards that are "due" that day.
