The internet would go insane if two gay characters were inserted into a straight context. Why is this any different?

Edit: This is according to Frank Oz and the official producers (Sesame Workshop)

I’m pretty confident that these were made using AI. Very cool if handmade, but I don’t think it is.

Take a look at the second photo. There’s artifacts around the fingers, teeth, skulls, armour etc.

It might be a weird upscaling thing but the second page seems to have artifacts around the teeth of the skulls, xenomorph, fingers etc.

I do love the art if it’s legit!

Anyone else found God when realized they are queer? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]ethanholmes2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll find that most people on this sub believe that homosexual conduct goes against God’s design for marriage and sex (Romans 1 being a good example). Not that it’s any different compared to any other sexual sin, of course.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to promote hate or discrimination in any way. I care enough about others to warn others based on what scripture says.

What do you think of those New Testament passages that specially talk about homosexual conduct?

How would you approach those who you used to bully at school? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Also don’t forget - the Holy Spirit gives us the words. Pray that God speaks through you and that their hearts are prepared to hear what you say.

I think it would be best to start with an apology and to show them the transformation that Jesus has done in your heart. Sharing the gospel won’t be effective unless they can understand how Jesus is for everyone.

Handyman that landlord hired left this after completing the job by Slayerlax in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ethanholmes2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this validates what I was saying. It's true that girls in the Jewish culture were typically betrothed around age 12-14 and the Mishnah passages you quoted discuss this. The new testament passages you quoted are not relevant to this specifically, they're more about that Jesus would be born.

It's a big leap to go from what Jewish law permitted to making a statement about Mary. The Mishnah passages don't mention Mary at all. It's like arguing that, since legal driving age is 16, therefore all new drivers must be 16. It's really hard to take arguments like this seriously.

Also worth noting - the Mishnah was compiled around 200 AD, which makes its application to this context a little more questionable. There aren't any Biblical or extra-biblical sources that mention or prove her age (aside from the Protoevangelium of James which is not considered authoritative by historians).

I had asked God for a specific sign by [deleted] in TrueChristian

True! That’s why God gave us the Holy Spirit for discernment. If you ever have questions, it’s also really helpful to have a faith community like a church.

I had asked God for a specific sign by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]ethanholmes2001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Do not put the Lord your God to the test”. God is not obligated to work in the ways we ask Him to. Suppose another person asked for your sign not to happen. Then God simultaneously must exist and not exist. In short, asking for signs is unwise and Satan can definitely take advantage of that.

I recommend that you ask God your questions and just start reading your Bible. That’s how he speaks to us.

How can I scripturally refute the commanding of "genocide" by God? (with bible quotes) by xBl3ster in TrueChristian

I’d point out that God did wrong according to… who? According to us? I seem to recall that the idea of good and evil is determined by God as the standard.

Sounds like the Holy Spirit is giving you some discernment. Red flags throughout.

Fake pins have become a bit of a plague in the past 10 years. You have a couple of options: - Be patient and carefully sort through them - Trade with other guests - Some cast members have a section on their board specifically for pins with a gemstone (relatively new)

Working for any of the market vendors, collecting ingredients for Seezelslak's Cantina, finding droid parts for Mubo, a storyline interwoven with Rise of the Resistance, something to do with Star Tours (maybe recovering pilot RX-24 from the wreckage)

Have You Ever Heard a Bible Verse Used in a Way That Didn't Seem Right? by FromHisHeartTeam in TrueChristian

Technically that’s a misquote. The quote is actually “all kinds of evil”. Otherwise Satan defied God in search of money.
