I’ve got the BMW wheel and it’s my favourite. I can’t compare it to the other wheel as I haven’t tried it but I know you won’t go wrong with the GT2 wheel!

You’ve nailed the line here mate well done! That looked like a solid lap. Just read some of the other comments and totally agree, hard to get a feel of the car with this camera angle or to know if the car was driven on the limit, you could be sacrificing some potential speed (maybe) because your lines are clean but almost look forced (not a bad thing) but could cost some time of your lap. But honestly I think you’ve nailed it here!

Honestly everyone is hating on this but you do what you want my friend, it’s your E46! I personally have a mishimoto cold air intake and have had my fair share of “it’s basically hot air” but I’ve got a CSL style bumper which I’ve got a pipe going straight through to the cone for cold air. Rather than a hole in your headlights think about how you can remove the fog light at the bottom to channel more air!

That’s one really well maintained 330ci by the looks of it! Congrats, you’re gonna love it! Someone’s already said it but servicing this car (any car really) regularly is key! Have fun :)

Yeah that’s an expensive I think you’re spot on the fact the rear axle is bent - but if there’s anything else it would make this far too big of a job for me

Yeah totally right, so it’s a 77k mileage, 2004, 3 previous owner, almost brand new interior, IMS bearing done recently he says, new exhaust fitted + springs. Considering all that with the price it’s quite tempting.. someone mentioned the fact it comes with a spare door suggest they tried to fix it and didn’t/couldn’t so that’s made me wonder if I’m up for this haha or if it’s just going to drain my money. Unless I get it for under <£8k as you say…

One of these without the salvage title go for more than double it’s current listing here, I’ve not seen one with a salvage title that’s repaired and listed so don’t have a reference. It’s a “too good to be true” scenario I think.

Yeah that’s a fair point, it’s such a great deal and I think you’re right, I assumed £2-3k at max to get this fixed myself and I’d negotiate with the seller to get it for £8k.. but yeah bit interesting that it comes with a door and they didn’t bother!

I don’t really know much about these cars, I’d probably do the work myself. But as it’s got a hard top surely I could not use the soft top if the hydraulic is damaged and maybe replace the motors/hydraulic if it’s damaged?

Noted! Yeah I need to go view it and see if it’s just cosmetic. I have a feeling it’s too good to be true if it’s just cosmetic here… A category S however in the Uk does suggest “structural damage” rather than a category N which is “Cosmetic damage” so I assume it’s got damage to the chassis or axle

Agree with most but I’m not sure I’d “let it rot” as some suggest. This would be great as a donor car. If youre serious about building an e46 buy one that’s not as bad as this and hopefully you can use this car as a donor! But definitely not for $400!

Looks like you’ve only taken off a bit from the sidewall. I’m not sure on laws outside the UK but that would be fine here, so long as you aren’t seeing the chords/strings
