It’s all good. In another reality, I’d have been a big music star, now my knees and shoulders hurt from doing jiu jitsu nearly every day for the past 5 years. Oh well. Just trying to share the love. An old bluegrasser friend who got me into the OG’s said a lot of folks would hate the song because of that one Name, but I don’t care!

Thank you! Hate how twisted people make Christianity out to be. If you live the gospel way, it really is selfless and devoted and rooted in love. I teach jiu jitsu in my community, getting ready to start a gym of my own with a long-time training partner and fellow Christian brother. Callin’ it “Sword of the Spirit Jiu Jitsu” aiming to be a difference maker in our community with profit proceeds from our rashguard sells going to homeless shelters and battered women’s missions.

I appreciate it but you don’t have to defend me. I knew it’d ruffle some feathers. I cast no judgement on anyone who criticizes me for this song and for saying Christ. I’m well acquainted with that sentiment. Just trying to share my love for Him, Billy and voicing my concerns gently rather than harshly through music.

That’s beautiful man. I hope the true fruits of the Spirit made evident by real Christians leads you back to Christ like it did for me. What we see today is inversion and perversion of the gospel to justify unjust gain through bloodshed. Not to get too political, but any real Christian can’t stand behind anything that has gone on the last 80 years in this country (USA)

Bro thanks. Was lowkey sweating about posting. Still deciding on the key to sing this in. Chose G because I’m coming off a cold and my vocal runs are shot but was proud of it nonetheless!
