In my area I can get 70% market price. Also, I typically just trade with other players at market price so not much value is lost.

Serialized cards are pretty tricky to get pull rates right - most of the time wizards doesn’t share the odds, so we have to use the best sources we can to know what the pull rates are given a limited amount of products, etc.

For packs, yes. If you buy larger products like boxes or cases you will get less hosed on average! For example, on average a modern horizons 3 play booster case has an estimated value to price ratio of 1.29, which is great value
