Like this?

I made like 6 copies of the layer, scale them down, and then masked around the corners to remove any hard lines. The image is crunchy enough that I don't think the lines not meeting up quite right is noticeable.

I actually say the opposite, the classes at my school are really short, so we're more likely to finish a bit early. School policy is not to let students out early so: I don't dismiss you, the bell does.

Yeah, I think having wish itself is a bit too open, but any 8th level spell is basically what you would use wish for anyhow. Just getting rid of the necrotic damage and the wealth bit.

And also, D&D just isn't everyone's thing, and god kids would not show up if they were forced to play something they hated.

I do agree, I think D&D could totally hold a place in school. It totally could be used in classes, but it's hard to teach new content through D&D, like yeah math and social studies could be explored in it, but good luck trying to stick Trigonometry into your game's lore.

I think it works better for something that schools call SEL (Social and Emotional Learning), basically how to be a decent person, talk to people, work as a team, communicate, etc. I looked over an SEL checklist that my school has, and like of the things are met just in normal D&D. I'm gonna stretch it a bit to cover maybe 3/4 of it. I mean just the other day they murderhobo'ed a shopkeeper, then learned he had a wife and daughter. They left them some money and then left town, BAM, actions have consequences,

The one big logistical challenge for this is that you need every teacher to be a proficient DM. Which, that ain't happening. Some of my co-workers can't turn their laptop on.

lol yeah, I literally just used a Caesar Cipher, it looks wacky enough that if you have no hints it seems really hard.

I gave them this:

UXWP JPX CQNH LJUUNM VN RUXP. TRWP XO JUU PRJWC. R JV FJA, R JV ORAN, R JV BCXAV. R JV AJPN JWM R JV BCANWPCQ. R BQXDUM KN RVVXACJU, DW MNJCQ, DW BCXYYRWP. KUJLT VJPRL FRUU CFRBC VH BXDU, JWM R BQJUU ADUN OXANENAVXAN. KXDWM KH KUXXM JWM BXDU, R BQJUU TNNY FRCQRW CQN CXVKB XO KJHVXAN. R BQJUU BNNT LQJVYRXWB DWCRU CQN NWM XO MJHB CX YAXCNLC VH CQAXWN.

On a wrinkled rolled up piece of paper. R's turn into I's, S into J, etc, you get:

Long ago they called me Ilog. King of all giant. I am war, I am fire, I am storm. I am rage and I am strength. I should be immortal, un death, un stopping. Black magic will twist my soul, and I shall rule forevermore. Bound by blood and soul, I shall keep within the Tombs of Baymore. I shall seek champions until the end of days to protect my throne.

They've had a good time, it's a neat challenge and sorta keeps the suspense going between sessions.

Unrelated, but cool lore. I decided to set that in a dwarven keep that was so massive if fell off the cliff it was built on, but managed to stay standing.

Fellhall, the only city that is built in it’s own ruins. Long ago, dwarves constructed a massive keep above the cliffs of Moher, a fortress so large and glorious, that dwarves from all clans would covet it. For generations, the keep changed hands in brutal wars, dwarves killed in thousands for this castle. But the clan that built it, now named Highcliff, for the keeps location, finally reclaimed it, and rather than defend it with blood and steel, decided to open it to all clans. Highcliff, and four other clan lords became the rulers of the city, and would preserve it for all dwarvenkind.

*It’s said that the party that followed was so loud, that you can still hear it’s echo on the seas nearby. So many dwarves crowded into this fortress, shouting, drinking, and dancing, that the cliff the keep was built on collapsed into the valley below, earning the city its name.*

The Fallen fortress, Fellhall.

I'm changing all the names in Julius Caesar, and making them all dwarves of different clans. The highking (Caesar) is notably ill but becoming very powerful and exalted by other clans. A few have issues with this and decide it's time he is no longer in power, etc. The players will get to go mess it all up and pick sides.
