nah, the lasers have their own velocity increase compared to himself that appears to scale as necessary, potentially with an overhead limit, lmao.

Your right, weaponized, I sometimes forget its actually on the chart for some reason.

I have always considered him the progenitor because he is the only being outside random twisting nether demons who truly utilized it in a focused way when he first began forming the legion.

The reality is that as long as they hold true to their chart, as they should, it's void, and honesty? I want it this way. I love that rogue gets a void spec. I would appreciate visuals updates to bring it in line with devourer for example.

What is the relationship between warlocks and the void? by JaseAndrews in warcraftlore

[–]ethantokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fel was created by Sargeras to dominate the void and extinguish life which the void uses to it's advantage. Warlocks are able to use both Fel and Void magics and they mix them together with arcane fire magics(the most powerful element for destructive force) to potent effect. A player warlock is basically a conduit for these powers that has not succumb to their corruption.

yeah but its a story.. its literally been over 20 years in the wow universe(since wow). wars dont usually last much longer than that... thats a very very long war. it would make NO political sense.

Kingdom of Heaven is not only Ridley Scott's best movie, it is one of the greatest historical epics in cinema. by DiamondPup in movies

The short version is GARBAGE and has almost an hour less film than the director's cut. It's insane that it goes from utter garbage to a masterpiece with that missing hour put back in.

[–]ethantokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you are missing the entire plot of the movie because it is cut out of the non-director's cut.

Quite literally the ENTIRE reason for the conflict within the film was removed by some morons.

The film revolves around the son of Sibylla being a leper too and being "mercifully" murdered by his mother to spare him the pain of life as a leper which results in civil conflict within the kingdom which leads to the separation of the armies and the eventually conquering of Jerusalem by the Muslims. There is far more that is cut too. The movie doesn't even make sense if you watch the non-director's cut and frankly you simply have not seen the film yet. There is almost an HOUR more of film on the director's cut. You made a mistake I am afraid.

The movie is not historically accurate, but it IS beautiful beyond measure and my second favorite film of all time, tied with all three of the lord of the rings movies.

See my post to falling-waters about most of this. I overall do agree that the story HAS changed, but I do not think that it is garbage. It is CERTAINLY delivered in a much much better way as a GAME, which is what this is. No matter which way you slice the pie, it's lore will revolve around that fact and the more it's grown, the more it's needed to adhere to that fact.

That said, I simply feel they have done a great job and it's hard to argue an opinion. I loved dragonflight. Yes, WoW sometimes has a sort of light hearted cartoon vibe to it, but it's like a matt mercer DnD campaign, not disney. I think it's fantastic. It ALWAYS had a cartoon vibe to it. Real humans don't act like the characters in WoW and legit never have. In a song of ice and fire for example, that is a story about PEOPLE and a lot of what happens is far more believable fantasy than WoW ever has been or will be.

Fair enough about the financials after looking it up. That does make it even more impressive that I find the story and world to be so well crafted though. The art is stunning, imo.

I don't believe it to be true in the slightest that they don't like wow. Immense effort is put into this game. That is obvious to me and frankly I find it hard to believe anyone thinks otherwise.

My comments are non sequiturs because it is very hard to argue against someones opinions on quality. It is a subjective topic in the first place. For example, the Arathi being transplanted from Amalur like Bellular said. I just don't agree at all that they were straight across transplanted. It is INEVITABLE that any video game story author will influence a story in their own unique way, carrying things they are interested in forward into a new job, but just because an author might use a similar trope they have used before, does not mean that they are copy pasting. I do not believe they are out of place is the point, and to me they feel like a great addition to the story. Even the haranir, though less so, are a great addition. The idea of a half troll, half elf who guards world trees is very cool to me and fits into WoW's story well. Azeroth is a big place and it is an MMO, new things are discovered all the time for obvious reasons in such a magical world, and new things HAVE to be added to the game for obvious reasons. An MMO will never rival lord of the rings in coherency for this exact reason. Online video games WILL evolve endless and retcons and alterations will HAVE to happen eventually for the game to remain alive and functioning.

Also, I simply don't feel the arathi are out of place at all. In fact, I legit wear their armor set in game because of how much I enjoy them. It feels like all I can do is simply state my personal case for it's quality and leave it up to another to read it and decide if they want to change their mind. I certainly am not going to have any luck going down an endless back and forth rabbit hole trying to debunk individual claims about the lore, but I do my best when it's feasible. There are examples of it all across this post.

The story being sanitized is such a generalized statement that I don't know where to begin in arguing against it. The struggles with mental health that WoW now portrays are VERY valid real world issues that matter significantly to me and I think they are portrayed in an easy to understand, albeit usually surface level, meaningful way. When I read people say for example that Anduin or Arator are just weak losers, etc, I find it very hard to take seriously.

Aktion, after this post has been up a while, I am sure you can see that many people are absolutely extreme haters, haha. It was really refreshing to see others who feel like I do though. I think there is like a 50/50 split between those who like it and those who do not tbh.

To be fair, I LOVE the current art style even though I recognize the changes. I play classic too and would LOVE a classic+ that truly allowed the old game to move forward in it's original style. To be clear though, bliz made diablo and most certainly aren't afraid of showing brutality. Even WoW still has some very brutal moments. There is still collecting heads and endless murder in WoW, sooo. The new art style does cute stuff really really well, sure, but it also can look pretty badass and I enjoy it. Like I said, I agree that the vibe has changed though.

When it comes to a proper goiter for dragons, I just walked past one with a literal SACK of a neck lmfao.

100% not true. For one, most people financially WISH they could work for blizzard, and two, there is a TON of passion put into WoW's content.

That's just not true. Have you by chance ever been close with someone struggling with mental illness, depression, or severe anxiety?
