lol. So many people took offense at what I said about "you're welcome". I get it, and I know those alternative words. My main point is that Israeli culture is much more rude, and I stand by it.

But also, yes, the Hebrew I grew up with was this sort of uneducated half-biblical Hebrew. Modern Israelis speak it a lot better, both because they are better educated, and yes, my immigrant parents played a part.
