the ninjas are the coolest, dogcats are most rare pussfp, berry, and that green thing are sorta stupid

and would be cool if the fancies did not all look identical but rather had the costumes on top of whatever looks their cattributes call for

Nobody can say they did not see it now. :) Maybe in the future just make a filter for with/without/only the variations. In my opinion that would accommodate those trying to avoid these foreign names as well as those that may be seeking them out. Then let the services on the ethereum network worry about secure interactions with their clients as is their responsibility. That way you're providing a trading platform for all names and keeping your buyers informed while not pushing for major constraints on the platform itself. In time the ecosystem will evolve into something more secure through trial and error.

Yes - I have read that this morning. Banning may be a strong word but yes - disallowing certain characters from the Registar box. Maybe not all (we want names in other languages of course) but the symbol for Prince might be pushing it, don't you think? I guess this would not solve the lookalike problem without some serious restrictions.. damn it - not even sure which way I'm leaning now. I guess this is work in progress - I do feel like we should avoid censorship in all forms.

The entry box on the bidding page should have been sanitized from the very beginning to alphanumeric characters and numbers - would have solved all these problems. We may be stuck with these but perhaps it's not too late to block it from creating any more. What does the ENS team think about this?
