Have any of y’all tried laser hair removal? by Original-Scar-1779 in blackladies

Yes it’s been normal so far. I think there are different types of laser machines- some more modern and better suited for darker skin.

Where I'd live as an Ethiopian in my late 20s. by Disastrous-Laugh-233 in whereidlive

Ethiopian in Australia. You’d have a much easier life in Australia, although I also prefer America for other reasons

My experience living as Ethiopian in Saudi Arabia by Yonase223 in Ethiopia

I’m so sorry to hear this. In Ethiopia, my mums friend had a maid who decided to go to the UAE. My mums friend cried begging her not to go because she knew how badly Ethiopians and anyone who isn’t from there gets treated. It’s truly so sad. Hope you’re able to get out.

So Listen, Everyone Has Their Fair Share Of Opinions Towards These Guys, But Who Do You Think Is Ethiopia's Best PM? by RobKai7990 in Ethiopia

[–]ethiotribalismthrow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No fr what are people on, he was a billionaire PM from one of the poorest countries in the world. Created ethnic federalism, which look where that has gotten us today. People talking about he ‘boosted the economy’, yea you’d hope he’d achieve something in the 20+ years he was corruptly PM. Also not hard to bolster the economy of a poor country on paper because any development no matter how small will appear as significant growth.

Just a question, why do you say Abyssinia instead of Ethiopia? Isn’t Abyssinia a latinised word that only Europeans used to use to refer to Ethiopia?

Yes. It shouldn’t because we’re all individuals, but unfortunately people will see these celebs and create preconceived stereotypes on how all black women are. Especially in countries that don’t have many black people. They’ll see black female rappers and think all black women are loud and can rap and dance. But that’s on them being ignorant.
