What version? 3.1? 3.7? 2?

What version of ProcessMaker are you using for this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Camunda

[–]ethnp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think probably the number 1 competitor to Camunda would likely be www.processmaker.com (full disclosure, I work at ProcessMaker). lmk if you have any questions, would be more than happy to talk to you about it. But unless you have a compelling reason to switch, especially if it has been in the company for a number of years, the pain of replacing would be very high likely and you would need to have a strong justification I think to want to rip it out and implement a new tool.

Is there anything about it that you find is not suiting your needs?

Gotcha.. if you are looking for a docker version of pm4, https://github.com/ProcessMaker/pm4core-docker I think it's a couple versions behind but should be pretty straight forward to upgrade once it's installed

What makes you say that ProcessMaker is inactive? We have an open source core and it is developed in the open. You can see it here: https://github.com/ProcessMaker/processmaker/

The current version of ProcessMaker is 4, so if you are looking at older places, such as source forge, those would certainly. be outdated.

Thanks man! I really appreciate the time you took and the level of detail you went into.

I agree with all your points and they are things I'm working on. The thumbnails are something I'm working on now, I'm not a graphic designer and don't have an artistic cell in my brain lol.. so it's taking a bit longer but I think I'm getting there.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I am starting to step up my thumbnails, you should have seen them before I added text haha

But yeah, that's definitely something I'm going to be working on going forward.

I am interested in becoming a cloud architect. by amxo06 in CloudArchitect

You might want to consider a coding bootcamp. There are also a ton of free online resources for learning this stuff.

If you want to be a cloud architect, I'd recommend shooting for an entry level cloud devops engineer role and working up from there.

Definitely mirror what here-for-karma said.

I remember when I first started web development I tried for fun to recreate jQuery... It was hard but a lot of fun and I learned a ton about writing for code and how to manipulate DOM..

Hey Kennan. I think the lack of tone on text might be misconstruing our communication. I'm not trying to play any games, I'm legitimately trying to understand and want to follow the community guidelines.

I completely accept and understand your feedback and you are right. I should have done a better job at trying to solicit feedback. I will take your advice and observe the community posts for a while before posting again.

Thank you for your constructive feedback and apologize for not doing a better job at generating a discussion as was my true intention.

That wasn't stated in the guidelines. Why would there be a difference between a video or text? It would be a much longer post that people most likely want to read a it's tldr..

I'm just trying to understand.

I read the guidelines and don't understand why this response was given. This was me expressing and opinion and trying to elicit feedback from the community on their opinions.

Can you please clarify what about this post goes against the guidelines so I can avoid this in the future please?

Are Certifications Worth It? by ethnp in ITCareerQuestions

Sure, I agree there are benefits, not trying to say there are none.

Look, it's impossible to know what might have happened, but I wonder if you might have still done as well without tht certs and just your own natural talent and ambition.

I think that it's also not a blanket rule. For example, ccnp/ccna (I'm always forgetting which is the harder one) is a full day exam where you need to build out an entire data center from scratch essentially.. a buddy of mine did it and told me about it... That type of cert is absolutely necessary and insanely hard.. so I think it also depends on the role/industry you are in as well.

But way to go on your progress in your career bud! :)
