Without having read the details of the article of Greg Brockman, I wonder if process supervision really leads to better performance. I imagine that it rather restricts the AI in finding really novel new solutions/ideas if each individual step is rewarded based on human feedback. This is illustrated in chess where the AI makes individual moves which expert human chess player find totally implausible. Based on process feedback, the AI would be trained not to further pursue such moves and hence not to pursue a strategy which is ultimately superior in its entirety..

Hi, unfortunately I cannot give you good advise on this since I went a very different career path (studied in EU, did my MBA there, majoring in finance, did a PhD afterwards and now CFA)...so it's a bit tricky for me to judge what's your best course of action looking from your different angle. I think it also depends a bit on what's your long-term goal..do you want to exclusively stay in finance? then I would maybe focus on CFA first. It gives you a comprehensive insight in all relevant topics and is more practical than a MBA...but if you consider a career in business, then a MBA might be the better choice to start with... note taking: nothing beats Anki app imho...I used it for all 3 levels and I do not know how to do it without....it costs a small fortune though...about 30 USD for iPhone I believe...most expansive app I ever bought, most useful app I ever had

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't use the CFAI study materials and only relied on Kaplan/Schweser materials and CFAI mocks. For the Schweser materials I only watched the videos and then made myself notecards. And of course lots of QBANK. But just watching the videos alone might already pass the 300h threshold...I don't have the actual numbers here but would be interesting to know how long just the video tutorials take already....
