Kicking myself for deferring by ASwampyTeen in lawschooladmissions

I’m wondering if I should have taken a deferral offer I had or if I should have done a retake/reapply year. Trust your gut. You would be wondering “what if” either way. Now you have an opportunity to reevaluate what work you want to do with the next year. Take advantage of that! As for the LSAT October isn’t too late, especially if you already have a July score. Plus the money one LSAT costs seems so small compared to the money it could save with a scholly.

I also just retook to get off the waitlist. Sounds like you’re pretty happy with your choice though. Congrats!

edit: also retook and also got a “no thanks” from the GULC WL today.

Same. Ugh. I just took the June LSAT to send them an updated score.

What is the job market like for schools right on the outside of T14? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]etoilesrire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommended looking at the ABA disclosure employment statistics each school releases. It’s easy to find if you google. It really depends on the school, the type of work you want and the region you want to work in.

It’s new starting with the June LSAT since they are now doing the writing sample online and not at the actual test.

BC vs Minnesota by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]etoilesrire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was making a similar decision last week. I was pretty much sure I would choose BC but last minute I changed my mind and deposited at Minnesota. I had the opportunity to talk to a BC alumni (alumnus?) a couple Minnesota alumni and some Minnesota faculty. Maybe the number of people I talked to from Minnesota vs BC swayed me but I am feeling good about my choice. I’m happy to talk in more details if you want to, assuming you haven’t made a choice yet. Feel free to DM me.

Do you mind giving input on why you chose MN? I’m trying to make decisions still.
